Something i learned about this process from another video is, the pressure caused bt the press, almost instantly cures the concrete negating the need to wait hours to cure.

It's no so much about "curating" but pressing the wet elements against the dry elements. Our cement tiles actually need to be curated for several weeks under natural light to achieve the proper quality 😊

After the pressing, we let our tiles air dry for 3 weeks. So yes, very similar to the way cement does, but in a much more beautiful way, don't you agree?

El pigmento es lo primero que se añade, mezclado con el cemento, siguiendo el diseño del divisor. Después se añade una mezcla de polvo de mármol que al presionarlo lo compacta en forma sólida. Después se dejan secar al aire durante 3 o 4 semanas.

What is the cement mix? How does pressing it set it instantly? What release agent do they spray on molds?

The cement mix is composed by: cement, marble powder, sand, pigments and water. Once the wet mix is placed in the divider, pressing it with the dry mix makes the tiles harden, and then all that's left is letting them dry naturally 😉

Yes, our cement tiles are handmade, one by one. No, they are not baked in a kiln, they are air dried for approx. 3 weeks 😊
