I disassembled all my nagants bolts down and soaked them in hoppes #9 over night and that cleaned out all of the junk with minimal scrubbing.

I'm sure later you'll cover those witness marks on the cocking piece and firing pin protrusion. Looking forward to it.

I can't get the firing pin threaded. I have looked at many different videos for the Mosin bolt. But I can't figure out how to thread it.

Forget "Plastics" as in the Graduate movie from 1968. The new term is "Lacquer thinner". There's a great future in lacquer thinner... Wear heavy gloves when handling it and do it outdoors. It also removes bs from wood stocks. But please wear heavy duty gloves or it will fsck you up. I soaked West German G3 stocks in it for a week with very impressive results.

Mineral spirits work well for gun cleaning in general.

The mosin is the most bullshit rifle to field strip. Many rifles including the m4A1 and the AK in two fucking seconds but the mosin is trash when it comes to it
