My absolute favorite moment of The Trailer Parks Boys was Randy walking out and finding Lahey passed out in the car with the roof missing. They gave no hint of what happened and carried on like it was a typical Tuesday. They left it up to the viewers imagination to fill in the blanks of what Jim did to destroy the car. Freaking brilliant!

Oh yeah hard work does not go unnoticed. And it seems like they are planning more filming so I wouldnt be surprised to see the car in more. To be honest after seeing this car in person and then going to see the actual car on the show I like mike's better. I was in my mid 30's & Dad was in his mid 70's & we'd be p**sing ourselves laughing from start to finish.. I'll forever cherish those memories, TPB will always have a special place in my heart.! Reminds me of my 78 aspen, dailyed it my sophomore year when it rained it became a swimming pool even ran it off a bridge only killed my tire despite it looking like a midwest early 2000s pontiac with all the rust. Piss slow slant six no interior but a front bench as a coupe with a fuel cell really felt like the worlds slowest race car lol.

i used to live and work right next to the parks where that show was filmed, people would be surprised how cheap the show used cars were out there, alot of them had rust issues or no paperwork but car dealerships liked having them because they attract people to the lot, i remember a red sunfire convertible that said "assistant trailer park supervisor" or something sold for $5k, there was also a bmw 5 series that was owned by ricky (in real life) that sold on kijiji for $3500 but it was parked with the sunroof left open

The work that has gone in to this absolute mobile of sh!t is astonishing. $800 was a steal! Always knew Jim was a great guy, but hearing Mike's story about him was awesome. Another great episode man, great camera work and brilliant questions. Totally agree that all of us TPB fans have a bond, way she goes! Still remember watching the set locations videos from the early days, awesome to see how far you've come and touch base with some of us fans from way back. Newport 1976 or 1977 I had the same car in high school circa 1989, but it had rust holes as big as my fists in the doors. It has a 440 4bbl and it was a tire burner. I also had a malibu classic landau. This one caught on fire. You can't have such cars today because the police will stop you immediately. I think it has the doors of 2 different cars, and a front end composed of 3 different cars. It was my "harlequin" edition lol Great interview. Awesome 👌

Awesome video, man. I actually sat in this car at comic con Niagara Falls. Unfortunately, due to family obligations, I wasn't able to attend until the Saturday evening after Rob Wells' heath issue that caused them to leave. That being said, I never got to meet the boys. But at least I got to sit in the Sh*t mobile. That made it a bit better.

I can relate as the first location video I shot was 14 years ago... and before that I went to see Lahey and randy live 16 or 17 years ago... Never met the boys. Cool car with a cool story! As an American I see it as less of a General Lee and more in line with the Blues Mobile from the Blues Brothers, The only thing missing is it isn't a cop 440 under the hood. It might be nice to see him do another but with something really hot under the hood! Properly built 440's can put out some serious HP and Torque numbers or go retro rod with a Hellcat engine for easier street ability. I had a 1966 New Yorker I built as a sleeper Pro Street car. The only thing that would give it away was the exhaust note. I drag raced it a lot and Daily drove it for a few years. Its size used to suck people in and get them to ignore the exhaust note,. I'd hear all kinds of its to big, its to heavy, yada, yada, yada and then I'd smoke their Mustang or whatever they had. When it came time to retire it you could look at it and tell the body was torque twisted from so many hard launches. About the worst problem I had with it was about every 6 months I'd have to replace the Pumpkin in the 8 3/4 rear end. It would break teeth off the ring and pinion between the hard launches and hard shifts of a reverse manual valve body in the 727. Would have to keep the door on it but just think about the laughs of showing up at the drag strip with a lightened and race built shit mobile and holding your own or smoking some cars people would never think it could do! There is a ton of weight to easily remove from them! The interior itself is extremely heavy. I stripped all that out and the dash, heater core and AC and AC related parts in the New Yorker. Took out the rear window regulators and locked the windows up. Built an aluminum dash and put a pair of Dodge Omni buckets in the front. Could kind of fashion it off the idea if Ricky won the lottery!

I had a 1976 Newport in high-school, circa 1989, it was white (but with a lot of rust, being a car from Montreal) it has a tired 440 4 bbl in it. My grandfather blow the original 400 and replaced it with a engine from a 1972 power wagon he has with a snow plow. He bought a new car and gave me this one. It has holes as big as my fists in the bottom of the doors. But it was a tire burner. Good time. You can't have something like this on the road today, the police would arrest you and tow the car on the spot. There was a farm truck who did exactly this with a 1971 chevy c-10. The guy kept the look, even the old aluminium box top, he dressed up like a farmer and raced the truck, with his old dog, the truck is red with primer spots. You can find video of it. It's terrifyingly fast.

@@SurnaturalM Before the Farm Truck guy showed up I had a 1976 Dodge Spirit of America bicentennial edition D100 I cobbled together from the parts from the New Yorker and a 383 I had given to me from a 1965 Dodge Monaco. It wasn't as fast as Farm truck is but made people laugh and smoked a Camaro at the old Kingman Arizona Wings and Wheels event. Now every year they hold RT 66 drag races in Kingman. Always loved playing with Mopars and was lucky enough to work on some pretty crazy builds. Now I have a 1981 D 150 and a 1970 Dodge Challenger Motorhome. I am bouncing between putting the motorhome drive train into the D150 or building a totally custom body unto the motorhome chassis. For insurance purposes keeping it motorhome themed but turn the HP up a good bit and drag racing it.

Oh man now thats a story! a 66 prostreet that would be badass! You would LOVE what we just filmed today. Just filmed a 69 Charger General Lee PRO STEET. Big 400+ wide tires. Lowered and a nice exaust. Nothing special under the hood just a 440 but the look was great. If you like this video I am sure you will like others check out the 68 Chevelle its got a 540 in it with about 840hp... absolute monster. or if your going really oldschool teh 64 chevelle 454 is a monster too. We are doing WAY more pro street cars this year! Nice work on the car man a fellow restorer!

@@SubdivisionAuto I am Mopar person! I know 454's can now be built without the rod puking problem of old! Years ago i got given a 427 with a spun main bearing. I tried selling it and no one would pay 50 dollars for it. Ended up sending it to Asia as scrap metal. My second car was a 1969 Malibu. I wasn't real impressed with it.
