So many beautiful memories of this place. Crying shame to see it abandoned.

Yes it was just happiness without end in that place for me as a kid. The atmosphere from the moment we arrived at the place was indescribable.

Was here in the 80s. Used to annoy my parents looking money for go karts. Dearest ride in the place I think.😂 Brilliant memories.

I remember getting off at the train station and having to make your way to what was like a registration centre for your chalet allocation. They'd assign your chalet and you'd make your way down to it. Great memories of the excitement as you opened the chalet, even though it was spartan to say the least and had extremely cold floors. And there was always loads to do. You'd get an itinerary at the start of each week showing what was available. There was always something to do, or watch. Very sad to see it now.

Very sad. I remember going in the main gates and getting the key to chalet. I was wondering weren't there some sort of petrol-tricycles there (not sure if I'm even using right terms for them) the track, I think anyway, is opposite train railway tracks for them at 1:04 1:48 and 4:38. Must check on Google images.

The outdoor pool seems to be gone. It must have been filled in at some stage.

This has not been abandoned this a beautiful place where foreigners without papers gather, it is a lively and happy environment, safe for all.

Not to bring politics into this, but it was a recreational venue for Irish people to holiday. It was never meant to be a home for asylum seekers.

Only people I have a problem with in Mosney are the single mothered prostitutes who used their trade to secure their place in our society by making sure they had at least one child with Irish heritage. So like 20ish people I think total. Fuck those people slowing down the process for actual refugees fleeing for their lives not just the want for a better one. Everyone else is down to earth and cool as hell and deserve all they need to rebuild their lives.

When I arrived onsite back in March I honestly thought the campus was in fantastic condition although I was assessing its condition at 200feet. Subsequent to this footage a video was uploaded onto my Facebook site by "Flip flop windsurfing" and it totally contradicted my impression of Money and the thoughts that it could one day be the place we all adored.

has the outdoor pool been filled in?
@aaronbux8 жыл бұрын
Yes a long time ago before the revamp of the swimming pool in the 90's
@pauldoyle18643 жыл бұрын
@@aaronbux I think you might be wrong about that, the outdoor pool was still open after the revamp if my memories serve me right, I'm open to being wrong also tho
@seanbranney1122 жыл бұрын
Aaron bux you're correct I was there in 94 and 95 with around 50 family members and it was still open, back again in 99 with the community games and it wasn't open then I recall

where is the section where the wee bikes were in it? Is that the huge pool in the centrer of it?
@aaronbux8 жыл бұрын
I don't remember the bikes can you be more specific, they were more than likely to the left of the path on entry from the train station.
@chinlesswonderkid8 жыл бұрын
+Aaron Bux unless the bikes were there in my time. I was there one year in the late nineties. I think they were petroleum power tricycles must check on Google and see. 1:04 and 4:38 was where I think the track is that used the petrol tricycles. Not sure if am even using the correct terminology for them.
@barrymccormick29653 жыл бұрын
@@chinlesswonderkid There was battery powered trikes up beside the go-Karts. In the early eighties there was trikes in the concession area between the park and the playground

All around the lake looks hugely overgrown in a video just been posted a few days ago whereas in this video it looks immaculate. It's actually a very small site when you see it from above.

At the time of the video the campus looked in fantastic condition until I seen the FPV by "Flip Flop Surfing" which showed a totally different Mosney and in the space of only 4 months.
