Damn it Mossberg. Every time I modify one of your shotguns to make it perfect, you go ahead and then make one factory just like I wanted before modifying my less than perfect Mossberg.

I totally agree with you. I'm a proud owner of Mossberg 940 JM Pro and 930 SPX. Both are fantastic shotguns with unmatched reliability and workmanship. Having shot several tens of thousands of rounds through them, I've never had any serious issues! Yet, the good folks at GSquare Tactical Channel tried to do a 1500 round torture test (over a period of months!!! Some torture test!) And due to their poor handling and poor choice of ammunition and through improper handling of the shotgun, they managed to break the ejector, the safety, and other parts! They couldn't make the gun work because they chose the wrong ammunition! Yet they couldn't figure out the simple issue of using the wrong ammo! Even a blind man could see where they went wrong with their supposed "Torture Test!" Any gun, ANY GUN, can break down and malfunction is you misuse or abuse the gun! It's not the gun's fault! It's operator stupidity!

If this ends up being an 800 ish in stores this is a home run

Kinda wish they went with the RMR optics cut instead of the the micro series cut.

Call me crazy…. But I think it would be cool if they offered a 940 with the optic cut and a 26-30 inch barrel for bird hunting. Also have a flush mount filler if you didn’t want to use a red dot. You could use it for turkey hunting but also duck and upland hunting. There are a few local guys that run red dots on their duck guns and slay with them. I can’t recall any traditional style shotguns that are cut from the factory to take a red dot. They might change the game with this concept.

Is sooo beautiful, got mine.. Only wish had rear sling push button option. Other than that, it's near perfection.

It looks awesome, but would prefer a brass bead front sight for durability.

I just wish it had QD points for a sling. Sling swivels are OK but for a tactical firearm, a QD point on the barrel clamp and one on either side of the stock would be more ideal for having it in a ready position. Is it possible to put on the Magpul furniture that I put on my 590A1? I do like the optics ready option built into the receiver. If nothing else, it just looks cleaner than a big pic rail on top plus that smaller optic just seems to sight down the barrel more closely.

The shotgun seems to operate correctly after following loading instructions of your manual Pages 12-14. No problem at this time. Here is where the unloading problem occurs if the shot gun is fully loaded and one in the chamber; your manual page 17. It will not unload the magazine tube or the firing chamber. I cannot get the shells out of the spring loaded tube and cannot rack back the bolt according to unloading instructions on page 17. The only way I was to get the shotgun unloaded from the tube magazine was to take a small screwdriver and press down on the bolt release part (page 13 figure 5 of your manual) inside the loading chamber while holding down the elevator. However; I could not rack back the firing bolt to get the shell out of the firing chamber. Therefore, the only way was to fire that round to get it out to get an empty shotgun in order to send it to Mossberg unloaded. Therefore, this shotgun has a big safty problem!!
