Discover beautiful towns and villages in Tuscany in this video.
Off the Beaten Path - "Tuscany" will take viewers to the lovely region of Chianti in Tuscany, Italy and discover 9 of the less well known, but stunningly beautiful Tuscany hill towns/villages away from mass tourism. While most tourists flock to the tourist traps of Florence and Pisa, there are literally hundreds of lovely hill towns that are awaiting those travellers who don't like crowds, souvenir shops, selfie-cameras and bus loads of tourists. In this documentary, discover these little hill towns where you are almost guaranteed to be wandering the streets alone in these delightful towns. Wander ancient cobbled narrow streets, marvel at grand medieval merchant houses. While 3 of the towns are a little more popular for good reason, even in the height of July they are still very quiet compared to the tourist hotspots. The other 6 towns are hidden gems, undiscovered, completely empty but hauntingly beautiful.
These series of videos are especially for those independent and intrepid low-key travellers, who don't want to travel in large groups, be part of the "see me" selfie culture, buy tacky souvenirs of leaning towers, but would rather keep quiet and explore the beautiful "other" part of the world that most tourists don't see.

Hi everyone, thanks for viewing this video. It was made with love of Italy. Unfortunately, I mistyped some names of towns in the video and also butchered some pronunciations 😬Apologies for that - hope it doesn't distract from the enjoyment of the video too much. I'll try and get it right next time! Also it's been commented the music is a little loud in places. It doesn't seem possible to re-upload/re-mix the video once it's been published to fix it which is a shame. Subtitles might help as a work around.

Nice work. Nice video. I did live just outside of Pisa for a couple years and I still never made it to all of these towns. I'll have to put it on my bucket list. However, I have been to quite a few other nice locations - some within Tuscany and some outside of Tuscany. Lucca, Cinque Terre, Collodi, Perugia, Assisi - there's never any shortage of new places to explore.

Hi Wendy, thanks for your comment. Yes I realised the music is a little too loud which is a shame. Now the video has been published, unfortunately it won't let me reduce the volume :-( I'm going to make sure I don't make this mistake in the next video!

Great video- and thank you for using lovely music appropriate to the subject (some of the music choices on KZfaq can render an otherwise good travel video unwatchable for me.)

Hi! Thanks so much for the comment, I really appreciate it. I understand completely about many other videos having odd choices of music - heavy rock or something and also don't like it, and hence I did try to spend a lot of time trying to find some suitable tracks. I am glad this was appreciated :-) Thanks for watching, I'm glad you enjoyed it.Until the next travel video ;-)

For me the music was too loud or the voiceover to soft....they seemed to be competing for my attention, and I found that distracting. Truly all the elements were great , but for me, the voice and music need adjustment and I do not see any way to do that as a viewer.

Hi! Thanks so much for the comment and constructive critique, it is appreciated. Achieving a good balance of audio is something I still finding not easy for different preferences. Sorry about that! The subtitles may help a little - unfortunately it does not seem possible to edit the audio once the video has been submitted which is a shame. I'll definitely take the comment on board the next travel video to lower the music volume! Thanks again, appreciated

Beautiful video! But I do wish the narrator had taken the trouble to learn how to spell the names of these towns correctly (Siena -- one N, Marittimo -- two Ts) and pronounce them the way Italians do -- Casale Marittimo (accent on "ri" not "ti") and Chianti (first syllable pronounced as key, not chee).

Hi Jean, thanks for your feedback. I have had a couple of others mention this, and have taken this constructive feedback on board. In my later videos, I hope to have got the music balance better with the music less loud and tried speaking a normal volume. To be honest, no idea why I whispered in this video! Thanks again
