Absolute agree!!! Around my house in the UK the traffic pollution is so bad that I can hardly open the window, but in Japan I can keep the window open day and night. Also the mix of rural and industrial areas in the comparison is questionable.

Before I visited Japan, I thought Sing was the cleanest country I had ever seen (and it’s extremely clean). But after visiting quite a few times in Japan, I concluded that they could give Sing lessons. Both are absolutely amazingly clean countries.

If it's in people's mentality to throw trash on the streets and the governments don't hire staff to clean, I don't get your point! It's in your culture to care less about cleaning and recycling! No offense, French is my favorite nation. Friendly, kind, polite, well-educated, and so on, but when it comes to sanitary there lies a problem!

Well, I am German myself and I've been to many European countries in the last 10 years. What can I say? I am not really seeing Germany, France or, say, England as being" clean", at least not anymore. Ireland, Hungary, Poland, Sweden, Denmark and Switzerland were by far the nicest when it comes to cleanliness. But then again: It probably depends on the city anyway.

I live in the UK - it is fairly clean. Residential streets are often very clean, while there is rubbish around bus stops and in bushes. Where did you go in the UK?

Slovenia should be on the list....cause Slovenia has received international recognition for its ecology and sustainability, declaring it the cleanest country in the world. Also, I was in Paris and I've never seen a dirtier city.

Malaysia very very far. And getting worst. Rubbish every where on the road side. Very dissappointed. Our street cleaners are the best, they throw all rubbish behind the trees, bushes and when we tell them don't do it, they take revenge by bring their own group to do it in front of you.

Don't worry! I was afraid of airplanes and heights and I travelled for the first time in an advanced age in comparison to other people. Now, I can't stop traveling. Even for two days in neighboring countries. Your mindset would change the moment you visit another country. A friendly advice: 1. Don't wait until you find company. Travel solo instead. It's very difficult to find someone who has the same spare time with you, the budget and the love for adventure. 2. Travelling is not that expensive. You can always fly with a low cost and stay in a hostel. I have never visited Cameroon but it's on my bucking list! Greetings from Green 💚

I lived in UK&France but cities are filthy. Especially my nasal got black at the end of the day. Water quality is bad which affected my skin and change tea taste because of a hard water. Air & water are bad, you can say at least in Europe from my experiences.

Have you checked outside of Europe? Like for example, Singapore, Japan, New Zealand, etc. I have been to Paris, London and Singapore, and I know which one is the cleanest.

you do know capitals arent the same as a country right? the capital can be messy/clean while the country as a whole rank the opposite. airpolution, factories, cars, livestock etc all make a difference.

No way. Are you kidding? I did a tour of Ireland in 2019 and of UK in the end of that year and UK was way above. We all felt so much more relaxed in the UK but did keep away from London.

Very nice content! Suggestion only: I think you should have define what EPI index immediately for the benefit of your mass viewership. If we will assume that the viewers already knew what EPI means then it would be safe to also assume that they would likely knew what are those countries in the ranking which makes this video rather redundant! I wish the content provider would clarify important terms included in the channel's future video uploads. Peace!

We agree to be "German", but being "German" is something artificially created (in the 19th century). Try to visit Oberbayern or Niederbayern and try to meet local people. You are heartly(!) welcome.

No way is France one of the cleanest just after the Scandinavian countries...I've stumbled on loads of dirt just in hotels around France, mind you top price hotels at that. One in New Rochelle that was 3 star where the enormous blue carpet sent up clouds of dust every time one walked across it and the wallpaper behind the head of the bed (there was no headboard) hard streaks of grease all over it as people leaned back in the bed...my husband and I were so disgusted we checked out and went someplace else in that lovely city.

Singapore is ONLY clean in public area by heavy punishment in terms of rubbish! I lived in Singapore for 3years and you probably never been to Norway where famous fish market port has 10meter crystal clear sea water where you can see the coin at thd bottom. You also forgot about months of haze from Indonesia yearly. Japan is definitely cleaner than Singapore by all means.
