Keep waiting and find an Aero or Elite, they are the most fun 50cc’s ever! The spree is fun in the neighborhood but you can’t keep up with traffic and there’s no upgrades to make them go faster. Thanks man, glad you enjoyed the video👍🏼

@@Mechanic_kid I sold it for $800.. it was in excellent/8.5 out of 10 condition. I've watched your elite 50 review that you repainted. I've never ridden one of those.. I've heard they're quick.. what do you think in comparison to the Aero?

@@tri0xin $800 is a good price! I personally like the elite better. But they made so many of them and with different engines. Mine has an AF05 which is very pepy and fast! The AF16 is the engine everyone wants. I think it’s in ‘90+ elites. But ya, the elite is lighter, smaller, and at least mine is faster off the line. Maybe I can do a video comparing the two bikes in the future👍🏼

@@Mechanic_kid That would definitely be great to see! Maybe a 3 way between the Spree/Aero/elite 50.... I know the Spree is the weakest but seeing the size along with the others along with your opinion on handling(feel)/speed and market value between them would be great to see.

Ya these are significantly faster than the spree. Tops out around 38mph

Yep I did. Nobody had what I needed but found it on eBay👍🏼 but your right the groups are very helpful!

Right on at least ya found what ya need. Not everyone knows about the groups though figured I’d add that comment for anyone else looking for parts. There’s usually more than one group too some are owners groups and some are just parts for sale.

Yeah but would a bad pet cock valve and no air filter keep it from running?

I only gave 200 for it so can’t be a bad investment

@@billyhenderson765 air filter isn’t too important and will run without. You need to get a new petcock. They are vacuum actuated, so when the engine runs it lets fuel down to the carb.

It’s variated! So there are many mods you can do to pickup more speed unlike a spree👍🏼

I got this on Craigslist. They don’t show up often and when they do they sell fast! Just gotta look everyday and one will show up! Goodluck👍🏼

I would look for a Honda Aero80! No 50cc honestly has enough power to haul two people.

I think I paid $300. $600 ain’t bad if it’s running and has a title. I’d try to get him down to $500 tho especially if there’s no title

@@Mechanic_kid thanks my friend, problem is I don't know how to work on bikes so if there is an issue I'd have to get help and I have a feeling since it's older it will constantly need tinkering with. What do you think?

@@detroitpyro2859These things are pretty much bulletproof. Low miles would be anything under 600. Most of mine are around 1500 miles. Had some with 3000. 99% of the time if these stop running they just need a simple carburetor clean. If it currently runs good, if you start it every couple weeks and let it run you likely will never have an issue. But if your going to let it sit for 6months, expect it not to start. Don’t be intimidated just because it’s old, that actually makes it easier to work on. They are about the most basic scooter out there and a lot of run!
