I went to my local ACE hardware store where they also sell guns and ammo. I saw this sitting there and the guy behind the couter asked me if i wanted to shoot it. Sure as hell, right there in the store they have a target set up and ready to go. The employee showed me all the basics and let try it out. I turned around and bought this idem for my wife. She is not a big gun person and despite me being an avid gun owner. She prefers not to mess with them. She does however, love this crossbow and loves the fact that it gives her a sense of self protection should she need it. The funny thing is, my wife is half native. Can you imagine some dumbass making the mistake of breaking into our house and getting shot by a native woman with a crossbow! Hahaha Its perfect!

I had the old old version of the 90lb pistol crossbow and it was no joke. This new upgraded version in 90lb would be pretty awesome. I would just buy alot of extra target bolts, because if you hit a tree or a wood fence it will likely take pliers and you may lose the bolt head getting the bolt out and your sure to bend them anyway. Yep I'd buy one if I could afford to. Great video. I loved seeing the advancements they made into these things.

Check out the tuning stuff.. different limbs up to 150 pound and the red tuning trigger.. heavy WAR bolts.. and dont use the mountblock system for the limbs! Mount the limbs straight to the body for more accurate shooting.. 120pound I think is the best choice for dynamic shooting and 150pound for hunting single shoot... tuning trigger is a must have up to 90pound limbs.. and use wax every 10 shoots.. greetings from Germany

Crossbows are no joke. Got my dad a crossbow for Christmas even though don't own one myself since I'm more of a rifle guy but I was impressed once he let me shoot it. Now I'm considering also getting one for myself. The one I got him sends the bolts down range at over 400 fps generating 134 foot-pounds of kinetic energy. I even had to get him a him a special backstop for it since some backstops won't keep the bolts from passing right through, and unlike shooting a rifle, shooting into trees would ruin the bolts. You can even hunt big game with crossbows though I prefer a humane kill so I'll probably only keep a crossbow as a last ditch option or for an SHTF situation since they are deadly silent and yes at least as to my experience they are also deadly accurate. I'm also not as concerned about being humane when it comes to dealing with a threat that intends on causing me or my family harm. Thanks for sharing. By the way, you might consider throwing either an LPVO or a prism sight on there. Both don't need batteries to run since they have etched reticles.

Thank you for this video. I’ve been considering one of these for home defense. I am physically disabled I walk with a cane thanks to a work accident breaking my spine. I can’t handle gun recoil at all. But I can fire a light weapon with a stock one armed in my home and with the range inside my house I’d probably be able to hit an eye ball 9/10 times one armed. I just needed to know if it had a chance of being lethal or powerful enough to hinder an attackers advance enough to close distance and go hand to hand which i can handle myself fine with

Nice video clip. I got the 130lbs throwing arm on the larger Adder repeating crossbow. I set up a lot of layers of memory foam and strapped it to a surf board and strapped it to a tree trunk. I shot it and thought the bolt must have broken and flew apart. Then I realised that the bolt went through all the layers, completely through the surf board and was buried deep into the trunk. Viable self defence for sure and definitely not a toy.

@@Hugo-and-Persia in the compound category the WhipShot is a good product for a reasonable price. But if price isn’t an issue then the Fenris is the clear winner at more than double the price of the WhipShot. For crossbows the Stinger 2 ‘Tactical’ is a great one & you can also buy conversion kits to turn it into the Stinger 2 ‘Compact’ & then you have the best of both options. However 2024 is coming out with a lot of new products from companies who have seen the success of these new magazine styles & I think we might have a few special things coming in 2024.

In a recent update there was talk about releasing a bottom loading, magazine fed crossbow that held something daft like 20 bolts and which was also repeating. I'm just trying to remember which KZfaq channel I heard it on. I think that it was on the Joerg Sprave Slingshot channel, but I don't know what became of the actual crossbow. Last I heard, the design was perfected, they just had to get it OK'd and put into production. The crossbow itself was a complete beast if I remember right. I mean, if I was going to use a Cross bow for... Certain acts, that would be the Crossbow that I would go for. We've been using Crossbows to kill each other since they were developed in China around 400 Before Common Era (BCE).

There is now an extreme throwing arm for this. Gogun sellthem in their uk, us and de stores. People have killed hogs with these and the razor sharp steambow broadheads.

I bought one of these AR-6 and the Cobra Adder. Personally I think the Adder v2 is a bit better quality, a bit more power and I like the over all design more.

They have a 120lbs option now also if you want to go full madmax. 90 lbs is considered the standard tbh for the Stinger II, the 55 is for plinking practice. There is a survival option for the whole bow they have which is cut down, no mag, basic recurve with stirrup that has an opitonal 150lb limb if you really really need to unalive something in the apocalypse. Worth checking out if you are into that.
