Dany weaving the hat is like the Weirwood Goddess weaving the web or tapestry of fate within the greensea. The net is currently weaved by AA and Dany needs to unweave it with her cleansing fire so to speak. Dragons don't plant trees they burn them and Dany needs to burn the Weirwoods so something new can grow in its place. Perhaps Dany can't do the weaving or knitting people together because that's what Jon does. They need to work together to destroy the old net and weave the new one, so to speak.

Just occurred to me: Dany is always searching for “home”. She’s driven by a deep desire for it. She thinks that Drogon returns to Dragonstone on instinct, but she says that’s not her home. But it actually is….She was literally born there, on a stormy night, as I recall. It was her home for sometime before the whole overthrow. And yet, she doesn’t consider it “home”. I think GRRM is exploring the concept of “home”. How we feel about it, what is given to us and influences how we feel about it, how it changes over age and time. The things we treasure and value about “Home”. Dany is collecting these people who need her deeply and she wants to provide a safe home for them. Reflecting her own unconscious need. She’s wanting to get to the Red Keep and the throne, but that isn’t her home. A clue that it will not be her final destination. It will be interesting to see how GRRM continues to explore “HOME” as a concept with Dany. As she goes North, will she feel the plight of the others and the wights as another set of peoples who have had their home corrupted and are wandering/lost in search of someone who can help them regain their Weirwood home? Her history tells us that she may very well feel this and decide to move sacrificially with them as she’s done on her previous encounters with people. Also, by the end do you think that Dany will discover “home” is a more esoteric concept of being in the midst of where you feel belonging and loved - and that may not be the Iron Throne for her.

I just heard Nina Simon's song "strange fruit" for the first time yesterday. It's about men of color being hanged but also their blood being on the leaves of the tree. If you haven't heard it before definitely check it out. It did make me cry though. It's one of those turning pain and loss into this meaningful art things.

I think her sickness could symbolize the sickness of entitlement for throne, the sickness of monarchy has on the land--that's why she has the vision of her brother, it's that sickness that caused the war of the 5 kings. Her body covered in red whelps parallels the vision she had in the house of the undying with the woman being ravaged by dwarfs. We can see her coming to westeros when Fageon is king defeating him and not being accepted by the realm. It George's theme of a single ruler/monarchy not being good for the people. Even though we like Dany we know democracy is better than monarchy. And he conquest of the realm could leave it worse than it was

I think the dragonbinder horns are a very simple mechanic, they bind a person to a dragon by killing the person and transferring their "soul" into the dragon. Dany did this in the pyre without a horn, by using blood magic to transfer the witch, drogo and her unborn child into the dragons. When Euron forces someone to blow the horn, that person will be killed and their soul will be forced into the dragon as the "third head" of the dragon. This functions the same way as the crows who hold the spirits of the children. Once bran enters a crow that has been binded to one fo the children, they share the space. This is skinchanging, and the same rules would apply. A dog is easy to skinchange for a human, a dragon is easy for a targeryan. So, to sort of lay it out. A human worgs something and they share a body with both influencing the other and sharing a bond. The longer a human worgs a creature the more they get lost becoming more and more like that creature and less like a human. If they die they can skinchange into that creature permanently, unless someone else comes along and forces their will onto the creature at which point the previous human worg is killed a second time. A Targeryan can bond with a dragon with the same ease as a stark can bond a dire wolf, its natural and inborn. However, my contention is that whatever magic happened at the funeral pyre allowed Dany to bond humans to dragon eggs in order for them to hatch. The horn may have been a way of kickstarting this process, allowing people to be bonded to dragons and this was done ON valyrians by the emporer using the dragonbinder horn. This would have been so the emporer could control the dragons, however once a Valyrian is merged with a dragon a part of that dragon remembers its Valyrian life which then makes them have a natural bond the same way dogs have to humans (this part is just extra thoughts and guesses). So over time the dragons became naturally alligned with Valyrians because of their natural bond and a dragonbinder horn wasn't needed. The dragonbinder horn and the funeral pyre blood magic are the same thing by a different means, fire and blood magic that bind a soul to a dragon, and Dany entering the pyre made her the focal point that completes the magic. If I am right, Euron using the horn will bind a new soul over the dragons current one, and he will be the Dany role in this, and by binding the dragon and the horn blower together will gain control over them. However it will not be as simple as having a horn blown, it takes proximity and then Euron will have to "walk into the flames" the same way dany did to complete the ritual, IF it works that way. This extra step is needed purely because a dragon is far different from a dog or a wolf, which the story tells us are easy to worg into for humans. A Valyiran might be able to naturally worg a dragon but, what we see dany do at the pyre is different, not just bonding to dragons but birthing them from stone. What Euron is going to attempt to do may also be a some version of this, with Danys pyre being the most ancient version and the horn being a more refined version that was developed over time. What we see in house of the dragon is Daemon hand over his eggs to the experts, and we don't know what they do before giving those eggs to newborn Targs to be bonded with. Perhaps there is a secret in dragonstone that answers this, one that was lost, stolen, or destroyed. Maybe Euron was able to discover this secret by visiting Valyria or Ashai. So yeah, I think the dragonhorn binds is a ritual the same as the pyre, and that is how Euron plans to take control, this would make him a fake Valyrian, bonded to dragons not by his blood, but by the blood of the person who blows the horn in his name.

the line abt "the sun gilding dragonstone as night comes" makes me think of drogo gilding viserys. uve said gold as a fire of the gods symbol can be firey/molten or frozen/solid. so gilding an AA character shows the transformation in one action: being set ablaze with the fire of the weirwoods, and then as the gold freezes viserys becomes the crowned, frozen, dead night's king just as the sun sets

The fact that she has Blisters on her hands doesn't mean that she got burned. Blisters do not happen just from burning. Blisters happen due to friction too... Yes technically its due to heat of friction but it's not heat if fire. She only has it on her hands, perhaps hee thighs. No nowhere else. That suggest Calises like blisters - not fire blisters. One could take it that she is being Reinforced to be steonger. And it makes sense she has these blisters. She doesn't have a Dragon saddle. If I recall, she had akin issues when she rode her horse for the first time for a while.
