I read Love in the Big City earlier in the year and it really stayed with me, it’s probably one of my top reads of the year!

I have started The Rabbit Hutch on Scribd audio. Unfortunately they were having problems with the audio ( two chapters playing at same time) so I had to stop. The only other book on your list I have read and recommended My Name is Lucy Barton Happy Christmas 🍀👋☘️📚📖📕☕️

As I am a massive Elizabeth Strout fan (and the Lucy Barton books in particular) I am going to recommend you get started with My Name is Lucy Barton. I am a bit at a loss as to why you think they are "cosy" reads? They are decidedly not. The whole series is a slow, deep unpicking of a very complex and troubled woman who had an abysmal start in life, and who is slowly making her way into the light. The language is deceptively simple and sparse; the characters rich and the books absolutely wonderful and rewarding. Hope you are enjoying your first holiday season in NJ! 🎄

I totally know what you mean though, there is something really cozy about getting totally immersed in a good book that is very character focused and engrossing, even if the content isn't necessarily cozy itself. I can see Strout being a great author for that :)
