In this workshop DJDreemz will be breaking down the history of the mnemonic induction of lucid dreams, first devised by Stephen Laberge. This lucid dreaming technique is the most widely used approach to lucid dreaming currently. DJDreemz will walk through the history of the technique, how Laberge created, developed, and refined the technique, and where it is today.

All PH.Ds are doctorates in philosophy. That's the PH in PH.D. I'm at around the 15 minute mark and enjoying this, but I was wondering if you could look into any adjustments to your microphone volume? I typically listen at 50%, but for you, I'm listening on 100% and have trouble hearing you with my screen reader active.

@@Chimpertainment Thanks. Been listening to more of this and liking it. Thanks for the mention by the way. Dr. LaMarca's approach is my favorite. There's absolutely overlap between the rescript and rehearse phases, as the latter is the repetition of the former. It's a solid evolution from LaBerge's original method. Also, look at the Night Light exerpts from the Lucidity Institute's site. There, an experiment is described with a protocol where MILD had been changed from doing it until you fall asleep to doing it until you feel like your intention is set or for a certain amount of time. You can clearly track the evolution of MILD as you have done here. Great job. I absolutely agree with your analysis of LaMarca. I've listened to her discuss MILD in different videos, and one aspect she brings up isn't just the dream sign, but what it is like to get lucid, including your emotions and thought processes, which is a nice change as well. She also is able to adapt her method to make up for some of the shortcomings of the original, such as doing it until you fall asleep, which is not always an easy thing to do. It's not talked about much, but she even discusses how to do MILD for people who have trouble visualizing, which few people do. 100% a solid resource.
