I hope one day it'll be possible to recreate the wave effect as we see it in the shows. I've always been disappointed in how most Darksaber replicas just have the texture overtop the blade, it doesn't recreate that look well enough to me.

All three are great sabers, I'm more drawn to the darker colors on the sabertheory dark saber but the kaizen is so awesome. I would appreciate an in depth review of the sabertheory to help me make my final decision.

The black on that blade actually looks dark enough that the light doesn’t bleed through. Nice. I wonder if, in the future, someone could replace the paint with like an advanced e-ink screen that would allow the edge to have that moving electricity pattern?

I’ve honestly never seen an E-ink display that can play video without it stuttering really bad due to the low refresh rate on them. Would be so cool though.

@@abidingshadow2 That’s why I’m thinking at least 5-10 years in the future, once the tech has advanced. I remember thinking string blades were super-cool and a great advancement over base-lit, then neopixels were invented and blew them out of the water.

@@Altair4611 I’ve wondered about a base-lit saber with a dowel painted with vantablack/black 3.0 running through the middle, to try and simulate a black-core blade. Not sure it would work for string or neopixel, though.

That saber is dope! Knowing you can actually duel with it completely males up for the lack of lava blade detail. I completely forgot about it once I saw it in other hilts! On that note: If the kylo Hilt had the blade 90⁰ rotated, it would have looked kinda like a one ended broad sword! Might not be completely horrible? Also, I'm not sure if the blade can be rotated 360 in the hilts, but if u held asokhas backwards from the angle she normally holds it and rotate the blade 180 , it would also follow that katana type curve. Might help blend that 1 hand inch of the circle that still shows before the blade. Not sure if it's possible but I think it might help make those two combos more natural

Besides the original, I think that the Ahsoka hilt would work best if the blade went on the other way and the circular part didn't stick out, it would look more like a real katana.
