Am I the only one that thinks the people behind New Jeans are trying so hard to make the girls unique and different that they are just sticking them in any old outfit and destroying their hair to make them look quirky this 4th gen girl group thing is crazy

The biggest mistake was their stylist ruining danielles long, wavy thick hair smh. they shouldn't have cut it and thinned it out

You know, I realized that the reason why most of the outfits look weird on idols is because they're not meant to be styled on idols... I'm talking about fashion models who are used as blank canvases for outfits such as the one NewJeans wore.

the obsession with 90s and y2k fashion is weird. as someone who was there to experience it in real time, the fashion from those times wasn't the greatest. and trust me, in literally only 5 years you will look back and be embarrassed.

The NewJeans members all have such amazing visuals, but it seems like the stylists don't know what to do with them. With Danielle it feels like they're just deliberately experimenting with her half the time, and with Hyein it's like they don't even try.

LE SSERAFIM's outfits weren't even bad idk how they managed to make it on this list. They were just performance outfits not carpet outfits but they decided to come to the carpet with those outfits instead of having to change later

Im gonna say it...but lesserafims particular outfit mentioned here is only for that one event where they decided to wear their stage outfit for both the redcarpet and the stage which the theme was rock performance but besides that lesserafim i personally will say their styling is pretty good...most of the time. The outfits are very well fitted to the members body type and the styles are also pretty cohesive and visually flattering. As for nmixx i would say their stylist needs to upgrade themselves and newjeans...idk what the heck is going on. Its like sometimes the outfits are good in itself but the stylist dont seem to know who or how to pair it right?! Idk how to explain but its just werid sometimes so i personally dont understand how they're taken as fashion icons and are suddenly all Ambassadors one after another for high end luxury brands but thats my take....on the fashion. For someone who knows how blackpink fashion works and how well fitted the members and their fashions are (individual personality in their fashion itself)...id say it's pretty questionable/confusing?!! I think stylists are just a guide or let's say should be a good critique to the idol's outfit, however if the idol doesn't have a fashion sense or charisma or confidence and able to present themselves then there's nothing they can do. At the end of the day it will always be how you carry/present themselves even if the outfit is not that good.

A lot of the styling today is basically gen 1 kpop oddball styling with a y2k twist (or at least, tiktok interpretations of y2k). If you were around for gen 1 and some of gen 2, you’d know that the fashion was WILD (even the hair - it was giving dr. suess mixed with antelope. If you know, you know). We’re seeing a resurgence of maximalism as well, which explains the massive over-accessorizing we’re seeing, and that was also super popular in gen 1.

I love all of these groups but sometimes I question their outfits. Their stylists need to do something that makes each member of the group stand out, but coordinate as a group.

NewJeans fashion wasn’t bad given their concept. It may look questionable or some things may look out of place but I don’t see anything bad. I personally would never wear Minji’s little beige crop top thing that’s over her shirt or Danielle’s dress but I think overall they look cute. Plus’s they are all young. I’d rather them wear that than a dress that’s tight, goes as far as the mud thigh or anything that is too revealing for their own specific age that I know people their age would usually be wearing. Le Sserafim outfits aren’t even bad. They could have gave them something that was red carpet worthy then had them change but there is nothing wrong with their outfits. It mesh well with their concept. Maybe Kazuha’s could have been given similar but more figure suiting bottoms. But overall they don’t look bad.

I've been to fashion week in Korea a few times, its not that deep. People go there in all types of wear as its a event for self expression. Maybe it has a plain look because they actually are dressing like their age and not over sexualized looking like future moms. I couldn't name a single member of new jeans or know their songs. But there aesthetic seems Japanese Millennial/cyber style. So it fits in with their look. Its not a red carpet event where you have to dress like you're at a gala.
