It's just a game of skate at the end of the day, but for BATB this may be the most important game of rock, paper, scissor for any matchup. Both these guys have just a crazy unique bag of tricks.

This is already better than probably 90% of the other battles that you will see in the real BATB... amazing tricks, too bad they will face in round 1, it really makes no sense to me, they should have given to both Jonny and Jamie the chance to go further in the competition and to us the pleasure to see several games played by these to incredible skaters...

I remember getting to know Jamie thanks to Jonny's GGOS a few years ago. I was rooting for him, and I've been following him ever since. It's amazing finally getting to see them both skateboarding together (even if it is against each other here). Thank you Jonny for making me discover Jamie! Doing any double (or triple) flip to follow with the same double (or triple) flip in the reverse stance of the initial double (or triple) flip (for, i.e., s double (or triple) flip to do a nollie double (or triple) flip, or fakie double (or triple) heel varial to do a double (or triple) heel varial a fakie) is flagrant betray of the spirit of what skateboarding is about. Here is some etiquette that flows from the above for anyone having skated for a few years, but it seems it needs to be stated explicitly cause Jonny's competitiveness overgrew our communionship betraying the spirit of this yet uncorrupted heritage of poetry in motion *again*: After a letter-giving double (or triple) flip no double (or triple) flip is ought to be made until the taker of the letter is able to fend of at least another trick or gets a turn with the exceptions (A) if the first double flip is (1) (i) a straight one or includes a varial or a spin and is a (ii) flip or a heelflip and the second one is (2) a varial or a spin if the first one was a straight one and vice versa; (ii) and is a heel flip if the first one was a flip and vice versa, (B) the giver of the letter is out of tricks that may be done without breaking ettiquette. The triple flip variant of any double flip giving a letter is ought not to be made in the same game unless the skater lets it known that he ran out of tricks. The double flip variant of a letter-giving triple flip is ought not be done unless the skater having taken the letter for the triple flip fends of a good 5 tricks in a row, and there were no turns taken. Further, after a letter-giving trick no reverse-rolling of the same should be made (for i.e. hardflip giving a letter, you should not do a fakie hardflip, but trying a switch or nollie hardflip, that's fine; or nollie 360 flip giving a letter, you should not do a switch tre flip, but it is not improper to try regular or fakie). No trick needing initial pressure other than on one of the concaves is ought to be omitted. (for i.e. pressure flips, old school kickflips, etc.; note: this clearly excludes non-pop shuv its) Just leave the f- pressure flips. Rodney Mullen thought us to use the tail and the nose to ollie, to pop or at least shove. Leave these for old school games of skate, that's it. And a very last one: No etiquette in skateboarding should be stated. But when those who lead the way are so out of line (switch double flip, nollie double flip, nollie double heel, nollie tre double flip) it is more cringy to watch this go down than taking the undesirable role to say what one is ought to and not ought to do even if it is embarrassing for all of us to have to talk or read about this. I follow Jonny's channel, and barely saw a few videos of Jamie yet I found this win completely appalling, unenjoyable, and cringe-worthy. The game seemed like as though it was all about Jonny's challenge of Jamie while it was (or was ought to have been) equally Jamie's challenge of Jonny. You came a long way Jonny as a person, be a leader of small skateboarding communities around the world who you should be instead of doing this. Teach the lessons of Sewa Kroetkow.

By far the most enjoyable and entertaining game of skate I have watched in a long time! I can not wait to watch the real battle! I will have to root for Jonny as my son has made me by him three of his boards and is his favorite skater. Jonny's first Revive board was also released on my birthday.

I already saw the BATB and another more recent duel between this two amazing guys and I'm happy to see Giger winning against Jaime at least this time. I really enjoy this matchup.
