Yeah that was a ANOTHER epic moment! And so neat that the animals aren't in rhe tradition setting like we all seen and grew up with. Like there is hills and valleys and that hippp pond. Not a river. So cool!!!

Those African Hippos were sooo crazy to see. Gorgeous animals! Wow. And the pregnant zebra and the young zebra. Insane!!! Such a cool video.

I'm pretty sure that is a Knysna turako but in South Africa we usually call it a Lourie. I have seen one and it landed in the deck at the place we were staying at. So amazing.

Here's a cool fact about a hippo when they sleep they have a reflex to pop up and breathe and not wake up and go back down

you guys are CRAZY. your guide should NEVER have let you get that close on foot. hippos kill more people in africa annually than any other wild animal. they can run VERY VERY fast on land. if they had decided to charge they for sure could've gotten you. when i was in SA the only way our guide would let us see them was from the truck & for good reason! they totally ran us off -- legit scary. hippos are beautiful animals that deserve immense respect.

Next Time you ever come to South Africa, ask for World Of Birds, that's your scene, a massive walk in aviary with multiple walk in aviaries inside it, it also has a walk in Squirrel Monkey cage where you interact with monkies. There's also other animals for petting like alpacas, gerbils, rabbits, etc etc

I understand where you're coming from brother where hippos are one of the most deadliest and dangerous animals that is also the semi slow compared to in the water and I don't eat meat most of the time they just protect protect from most of the time but yeah it is ridiculous on how strong and how much a hippo can do

I didn't see anything that was so Scary about watching Hippo with a Guide Person< Thumbnail suggest that you had an ENCOUNTER then only you can use this Thumbnail, but they was peacefully sitting and chilling in the water....

Compared to a alligator or crocodile I think and I believe the hippo site is actually slightly stronger if I'm not mistaken or it could be slightly the other way I'm not fully sure I don't know all my math but these are strong animals and slow so that's why they have to be so strong it's just amazing

Hippos are not slow on land or in water, they might seem lumbering but they can run faster on land then ANY Human Being, and they kill more people in Africa then Lions, Crocodiles, Elephants, Snakes, or any other animal except other people, people are the deadliest animals anywhere on Earth!
