Today we are visiting a town in Cambodia named Battambang, a town which was suggested to me as a tourist destination. Once I arrived I soon realised this place is nothing like I thought, boarded up shops, semi-empty streets, dusty and dirty lacking vibrant life, but I worked hard to find the good and managed to show some of the fun and interesting things you can do here in Battambang.

Wow. I can't imagine how hard life would be living by the train tracks like that with all the garbage and rain. Good job for helping them out with some food! I went to San Antonio TX and watched the bats come out of a giant bridge and it was so breath taking. I love bats so much. They are a very important part of the ecosystem by eating hundreds of thousands of mosquitoes per bat every night. They've got a bad rap over the last 10 years which I absolutely hate. Thanks for showing us the hungry bat breakfast hour!!

I grew up in the military. My father is Puerto Rican, my mother was Japanese and my last name is Albanian. My father taught my brothers and I, if you really want to see the culture, meet the people, then you need to steer away from the tourist traps and go adventuring. Every time I've done this, I've truly met the people of the land. They are open and honest and with what little they have, they are willing to share. This is even true in the United States. The disparity between the rich and the poor is soul wrenching. The countries elite keep the money for themselves. The corruption is mind boggling. Thank you for showing the true peoples of the land and helping where and when you can. You have made such a difference not only in the lives that you've encountered, but the generations that will come after. Namaste.

# 6 that big TV, had one like that for our son in his bed room. I tried to lift it to move it to another home for a few days. Decided that I really couldn't do it after carrying it for 50' or so. I put it back. Then that early am my right arm felt like I had broken it. I had torn a muscle. Compare to today, a 50" tv that might weigh 20 lbs.

# 7 your tall unfinished bldg. is about like the one 3 or 4 blocks off the front of our home. It is about 18 stories, a crane still sits next to it, partial paint up one side. We have been here just over 6 weeks and I have seen no one working on it. Don't know if they ran out of money or workers are on strike. ( never happen here )

# 5 We have NO idea how good we have it. Even folks on welfare are 1000 times better off than these folks. The drug homeless on the streets of Seattle get FREE tents, food, medical if they need it. My mother told me that one time when she was in school in Edmonds, Wash. ( about 25 miles North of Seattle ) one of her grade school classmates did not have shoes so he came to school each day with gunny sacks wrapped on his feet. This would by 4th or 5th grade. about 1925 the. students ( i bet only boys ) would tease him until one day he asked to go to the bath room and the teacher lit into the class. No more teasing. These children, especially the young ones don't really understand that they are poor. I bet they think they have the neatest play area around.

When I visited Battambang in 2016, it was much livelier and enjoyable around the fountain. I think they still haven't recovered from the Covid-19 pandemic.

The donation of food and other items you gave to Lin, who unfortunately was not there, and her family and friends was an exceptional thing to do. I can tell you were affected by this by your voice and emotions, especially at when that lady indicated she wanted food by doing the hand to mouth motion. I volunteer with OzHarvest in Sydney. I have seen this same motion at the OzHarvest Market at Waterloo. It really hits you in the guts when you see this motion, to think how lucky we are that we are not in the same predicament and to give back something to those in need. Normally you'd have to pay municipal rates or some kind of payment to get proper garbage collection. Some places just aren't covered. Alternatively you could put the trash in a garbage bag and throw it in the dumpster in town.

# 3 P.S. a thought just popped up to remind my of when I was about 7 or 8, 70 plus years ago. My dad showed me how to make a box kite. Basically two box like kites hooked together and I got that into the air a good 400 feet and then I went to take a nap, like I do today, and came back 2 or 3 hours later and the kite was still flying away. I pulled it in and went about my life. I don't remember if I ever did that again.
