If you watched daytime talk shows back in the 90’s you’ll know why this is so funny. Didn’t matter who you were watching Ricky, Maury, Jerry, Jenny or anybody else they always had audience members on their show like this.

@@NotoriousLightning I really don’t know or care if she had more integrity than the other talk show hosts but it’s clear to me you didn’t watch the show or maybe you were just too young to remember how the show was back then. In the late 90s and early 2000s especially she was just as messy as Jerry and Maury and everybody else that was the big thing to be trashy.

South Park goes everywhere and beholds itself to no one, but that's what makes it so universal. Because it shines a light on pretty much every social issue or everything they can get to into the mainstream consciousness and just rolls with it while actually following a lot of really solid and proven rules of comedy and storytelling. And that's why South Park has managed to succeed while so many imitators that just focus on the gross out aspect completely fail.

Ehhh it lost its magic for me after Season 4 and the movie. I didn’t like the way they made Cartman evil and hate Kyle, or the way they treated Butters at first. There’s tons of amazing episodes in terms of humor and quality afterwards, but the classic South Park charm that made the show so memorable imo faded away by the 5th season. Now the show is shit though, ever since Season 18 when they abandoned the episodic format.

i love old south park and new south park equally but for different reasons. They're always what we need at certain times.

probably not just you. There are a bunch of people that didn't like the new stuff, while there were also a bunch of people that thought the new stuff was way better than the old stuff. I mean especially the season with the "everything is changing" premise was great. The level of meta jokes was fucking insane. The whole member berry thing where they made fun about how people always want what they already know and think changes are bad. At the same time South Park was all of a sudden a show with an ongoing story throughout the episodes - wich people complained about and some didn't even realize that they were saying stuff like "MEMBER when south park used to be just about the boys? OOH I MEMBER" Dude. That shit was genious. They played the audience like fidels. The trump stuff later on just had to be there man. Because everyone was talking about him. South Park always tackles the topics most people talk about, if everyone is constantly talking about Trump..THEY are gonna talk about Trump

It's way deeper then it's first few seasons .First few seasons where really simple humour and kind of dumb even though I'm still greatfull they exist. South Park is Super deep.

In the UK it was about 1999-2000 when I first watched South Park on Channel 4, I think at around 11pm on a Tues or Thurs. I was only 7 years old, luckily had my own little old tonne weight TV and I would be so careful not to get caught by parents watching it. Looking back at it now, we would all congregate at school the next day and laugh about whatever episode aired, like the SP kids would about Terrence and Phillip. We were those kids. Blessed times.

I love the crude construction paper animation! It gives South Park that amateuristic charm. I actually don't like the really detailed animation and special effects of the later episodes. It kind of ruins it for me.

South park was great back then. The last few seasons have lost it in my opinion, especially that one long continuous story mode they do now. The best of those was the meteor shower episodes where every episode was the same premise experienced by different kids.

This is actually my favorite episode. For many reasons, but it originally stemmed from his hilarious intro, "Please welcome, the only man in town with a fully stocked wine cellar, Jeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeesus Christ!"

@@borizh shit my bad for not responding. I've been doing great tbh. Haven't been practicing guitar consistently until last year. Friend managed to get a used Randall Titan and let me hold onto it so I've been playing a lot more. Also bought guitar pro again so I've been working on a lot of old songs I was writing back then. How about you? I can see you are still great at guitar! lol The cosmic sea solos were spot on, dude! But yeh again, I'm sorry for taking so long to reply until William here told me to. Pretty rude of me if I'm being honest.

@@creamyanddreamy4017 not a problem, bud... life gets busier the older we get. I haven’t heard of the Randall Titan but I will look it up! I have been out of touch with playing since I got my first job. But this year, I bought a 6string solar guitar (don’t understand how Solar can produce guitars of such quality for the price!!), and a Gibson SG (wanted a classic guitar, and to play annihilator! 🤘🤘) because I really want to start playing and work on my own music again.. for my own sanity! Good for you bud!! Get working on your music and upload it so we can listen to to it... and keep in touch!!
