George actually found South Park's parody of him very funny. I love that his one critique was that the show portrayed him as having an obsession with wieners ("My actual obsession is with boobies.") and not that he exposed himself in front of two children. 🤣

When people are disappointing with HBO’s Game of Thrones season 8 but honestly, I knew it was going to end badly because George R. R. Martin couldn't even conclude his own story. This is what Trey and Matt have been trying to tell us. HBO can't even wait for the guy to finish his books, so they just make things up for the sake of ending the series. Game of Thrones is all the build up but no pay off.

A weak excuse that doesn’t really have merit when the writers actively disregarded the content they STILL had, they just didn’t want to follow the books anymore. Shit like “bad pussy” and barristen getting shanked in an alleyway were all show original. All of Dorne got taken out back and shot to death.

At this point I've made my peace with it. If he never finishes the series I'm grateful for the amazing series of books he gave us and if he does finish Winds of Winter (at the least) then I'll be there day one to buy the book.

I never found Game Of Thrones interesting. It just seemed like a porn parody of Lord Of The Rings. It seems like it was just a socially acceptable (and "sophisticated") way to gawk at naked people. Just cut the crap and watch porn without pretense. I'm not saying there were no serious fans, just that a lot of people who otherwise had no interest in fantasy were now suddenly watching a fantasy show obsessively.
