About 10 years ago, word got out that the teachers at a local HS were sleeping with students. The school was considered one of the best in the area (maybe even the state, I don't remember). The school did nothing to reprimand the teachers because they wanted to get and stay out of the news. Mysteriously haven't heard anything since. This may have also been the same school where, when a girl reported her male classmate for r@ping her in the stairwell, they needed evidence to pursue legal action, so they put her in the stairwell to lure him over and attempt to SA her again. Which is exactly what happened. They were more worried about their image as having among the highest grades for the annual state exams than protecting their own students. (Edit: lemme clarify a little. He didn't just attempt to r@pe this young lady again. He actually DID r@pe her for a 2nd time.)

My sophomore year of high school, we had 2 students that died. One hanged herself, and the other died in a house fire. Students were allowed to leave for the day and not attend class cause everyone was so distraught. The next day, we were expected to pretend like it didn’t happen. I didn’t know the girl, but I was so sorry she was going through so much crap that she felt the was no other way out. The one that died in a house fire was one of my best friends. He died on a Friday, memorial was on Monday, and when I started tearing up, I wanted to leave to go take a minute to breathe, as did a lot of students, I was told to sit back down, and that I “couldn’t keep doing this”. This was said to me and a couple friends, one of which was the boys girlfriend. Hated that fucking school

Damn. Not at all the same, but my school refused to let me take two days off to go to my cousin's funeral, in another state. My cousin had committed Su!cide and shot himself. I never got to say goodbye--and we weren't super close, but he was the first one to show me a fidget, via a ring he had that he fidgeted with all the time. I am neurodivergent so that helped me out A LOT. I was not allowed to go because I had "poor attendance". I was chronically ill and had missed 12 days in 8 months. Many days I went in sick anyways so I wouldn't get my parents put into jail.

Biggest scandal at my school was that a teacher was having inappropriate relations with a student during sophomore year. Student was blackmailing her and using the money to buy drugs to pass around the school. It was a very open secret amongst the students. It eventually made its way to the adults. Teacher got arrested over winter break and student was transfered to another school because of harassment. She was the teacher people liked because her classes were easy passes so the students turned on the kid. I had her for both English (she just played movies based off books like great Gatsby and kill a mockingbird) as well as film analysis (we watched the LOTR trilogy) and just had students write short essays on the movies.

Not so much a scandal as just really sad: one day when I was in elementary school, I think it was third grade, we were preparing to go back in after recess. All of a sudden, the monitors told us that we were having an extended recess and could go back to playing. It was really weird, but we were kids and didn't think anything of it. Except it went on for a really long time and then we noticed some of the recess monitors crying. Then we saw an ambulance come and paramedics go in. It was only the next day that we found out that one of the music teachers had had a heart attack in the girl's bathroom during recess and died. They had done the extended recess because they didn't want any of us kids possibly seeing it.

When I was in 9th grade, one of the 6th grade teachers disappeared shortly before Christmas. No one knew what happened to him for a few months when he appeared on the local news in an orange prison jumpsuit on trial. Apparently he had been chatting online with what he thought was a 13/14 year old boy but was actually an undercover officer and drove to a neighboring state to meet him and got charged with that as well as possession of CP on a 3.5" floppy disc in his car. Funniest part to teenage me was that the news anchor mispronounced his name and called him Mr. Cummer (his name was pronounced koo-mer). Shortly after I graduated it came out that one of the 3rd grade teachers had been sexually assaulting several of his female students. I'd had him as a frequent substitute when I was in 3rd grade (my teacher had cancer) and he took over her class permanently the following year. He always gave me creepy vibes and even I, a chubby boy, can say I'd seen his genitals because he would go to the swimming pool in town and strip down completely to get his swimsuit on, literally the only person I EVER saw do that in the years I swam there. This was a small town pool and there were no lockers or anything, just a square room with 3 showers, a bench, a urinal, and a toilet hidden behind a 4' wall so you could see the back of the head of anyone sitting on it. Not saying he was the only one who ever changed, just the only one who didn't duck behind the wall by the toilet for the tiny modicum of privacy.

Our school had a very uneven crooked sidewalk that was WELL overdue for a renovation. But the school would not fix it. One day a teacher fell because of the sidewalk, and twisted their ankle I believe. My mother had me go into the school to have someone get a wheelchair. I think they tried to sue the school, and the entire front of the school got remodeled because of it.

I used to teach in a middle school and one day some kids that I mentored told me there was a sex video going around of one of the girls with a couple boys. When I found out they had it on their phones I freaked out and told them to immediately delete it because it was considered CP. Then I quickly went to the guidance counselor and told her. Turns out she already knew this was going on and the girl was the one who originally spread the video, thinking the other kids would find her cool or something. The counselor had to have a talk with all the kids in that grade. Two years later that girl stopped by the school to say hi and I wasn't surprised that she had a baby. But the counselor couldn't understand why I desperately wanted that building to have a sex ed class. At least the group I mentored managed to graduate without getting themselves or others knocked up.

Damn. The kid talking abt the gun one 😢😤 bc I know what that’s like. Kid who bullied me from 5th-12th in 12th in a class openly gave me the “nickname” “the next school shooter” all bc I’m quiet & don’t have a lot of friends & not a lot of ppl heard me speak. In another class, English we got a prompt “what do u think you’ll be remembered for in school?” I wrote that in quotes bc he was one of the cool/popular kids since elementary & that all talk. I obviously got in trouble, called down to the principals office, cop came, I said all the aforementioned, cop agreed with me because the principal asked why I didn’t write abt a science trip I was on the to Galapagos & the cop said “that’s not what the assignment was” later I had to see a school psychologist/therapist and she wanted me to talk abt it and give the name of the kid but it was like a month before graduation & ive been down that road so many times in elementary it just kept getting worse. The guy lived a street over my house in another neighborhood & in elementary sometimes came to my house. No other kid in said class said anything so fck all those kids.

When I was in sophomore year, a kid threatened to shoot up the school at the pep rally. Thankfully, another student overheard them and informed a teacher. The school took it very seriously. Not only did they cancel the pep rally and had cops at the school the next day, they were also wanting to press charges against the student for making the threat. I remember hearing about this and there was also rumors that there was more than one person involved and that they haven't caught them yet. I felt scared even going outside of my class just to get a drink of water from the water fountain. But then I talked to my first period teacher and asked her questions, and she reassured me that they weren't true. That made me feel a lot better.

First year high school (7th grade) things were going missing from students’ bags as we had to leave them outside classrooms during class (no lockers). The school administration were convinced it had to be the new students so we (and only us, if I recall correctly, it was a long time ago) were watched and escorted everywhere, right up until the police raided the janitor’s house and found it stuffed with stolen goods, including student property and a good chunk of the school’s new sports equipment. The watchers quietly went away without an explanation or apology, we only found out what happened through the grapevine.

Not the worst scandal, but the most recent one of the top of my head (by recent I mean not even a week ago). If the girl who hid her pregnancy and hid it from her parents is referring to Skylar Richardson, she did not kill her baby. She had a stillborn, she held her deceased baby and cried, she named her baby, wrapped it in a towel, buried it in her backyard with flowers and grave marker. She was terrified of her emotionally abusive mother. It’s a heartbreaking story.

I've got a pretty juicy one. The year before I began high school, one of the teachers sued the school I was going to be going to. The story goes that the principal and the superintendent suspected the teacher (I'll call him Mr. M) of some sort of misconduct. Nothing I've found tells exactly what they thought he was doing, so I don't know what it was exactly. They wanted to catch him in the act, so they installed cameras in Mr. M's classroom. What the school didn't think about, however, was the fact that Mr. M was also one of the school's coaches, and he sometimes used the classroom as a locker room whenever the actual locker room was unavailable. Apparently, the school at some point had accidentally filmed Mr. M, his wife, and his son (whom I actually knew and was friends with at the time) changing. There were rumors going around that other kids had been filmed too, but I don't know if those are true. Mr. M quit and then sued the school for invasion of privacy. The case was thrown out by the judge from what I remember. It really sucked though because for a while our school was known as the school where kids got filmed changing. Also Mr. M moved away and his son ended up going to a different school, so that sucked.

A few from my school years: A beloved headmaster got fired and prosecuted for hitting naughty kids (very young) on the butt with a slipper and a belt. Claimed it was for discipline, not sexual purposes but the courts found otherwise. My horribly abusive English teacher got fired for yelling at a kid so hard that they cried and peed themselves. The kid was 12-13 years old. The school had never acted on reports before, so either someone had rich parents, or it was just an excuse because she was having an affair with another teacher and everyone knew, and the school wanted her moved. My science teacher put a chemical solution he'd made to smoke bees in the kiln during science class (He was a beekeeper). Then he gave us a test to do and disappeared into the staff room, locking the door. The stuff caught on fire, and he ignored the students frantically banging on the door, thinking we were messing about to avoid the test. We basically all filled down the fire escape stairs, then stood and watched all the smoke coming out of the classroom windows. Teachers eventually put out the fire, and we still had to do the test. The same teacher rapped a students knuckles with a wooden ruler, shouted at me for being short-sighted (Nearly blind from an eye condition) and kissed a female student on the cheek on her birthday.

Not my story but my sister’s. She was 17-18 at the time and was in her final year before she went to college (This was a UK school located in South Wales BTW) it was the middle of spring and the school decided to hold a Easter event that they called “The Great Welsh Egg Hunt”. Basically, the teachers hid around 50-60 eggs around the school campus (I can’t remember the exact amount) and the class that found the most eggs would win a big prize, a bunch of chocolate eggs. Now, this school had classes that had around 10-12 kids in them each so the classes were pretty small but that didn’t mean they weren’t gonna be competitive about this. The classes were full on against each other, even before the event, according to my sister. The day of the hunt arrives and everyone goes into the canteen for the head teacher to start the event. Suddenly, the head walks in with this boy from another class my sister has never seen before. Head walks the to stage with the kid and starts speaking. “Good morning everyone. Unfortunately, we will not have the egg hunt today as this young man right here decided to get a head start and found 20 of the eggs we have hidden this morning and proceeded to eat some of them before he was caught. We dearly apologise as we know you were very excited for this. As to say sorry to all of you, this boy will personally be handing out a egg to all of you during the week using his own money to pay for them. We once again apologise to you all and we wish you all a good rest of your day”. Everyone was pissed. My sister didn’t find this out until the day after but apparently that kid was the most popular in his class and had a lot of friends. He lost all his popularity and some of his friends left him after the incident. He did ended up repaying them by buying everybody chocolate eggs and it was my sister’s favourite chocolate so that made everyone hate him a tiny bit less. However that didn’t matter as he moved schools a few weeks after. Lesson learned: never ruin a school event, especially if the prize is chocolate 😂

Several things happened but 3 I can think of as maybe the worst are: #1 there were two Jr's doing it in a bathroom stall. A senior recorded it and decided to post the video online saying "Doing it for the Vine". The senior was 18 and was charged with distribution of CP. #2 This girl they called "cake face" had beef with another girl over some dude. Cake face thought it would be funny to draw a picture of the school being shot up and sign the other girls name on it and left the drawing in an obvious place for others to find. The whole school found out and people were scared to come to school so they had police sent to the girls house but obviously found nothing. Many people sadly stopped being friends with her after that. #3 in my freshman year the locker rooms roof was being worked on and the roofers were spotted multiple times peeking into the windows of the girls locker rooms when they'd be showering after swim days. Instead of firing the roofers they just stopped doing swim days til they finished the roofs.

When I was in 7th grade, our middle school had a bomb threat. I live in a somewhat small city, 3500 people in the whole city at most, only about 400 in the school, so when something like a bomb threat happens, it’s big enough to where you can’t walk two feet without hearing about it. My father is a cop who worked at the dispatch center and was a former detective, so he was in the perfect position to find out that the person who made the bomb threat was one of the students, an eight grader. He was expelled, never saw him again. This happened a month before summer vacation, so it would probably just be a suspension if it were farther from summer.

It wasn't a school, but a daycare. Now relevant to the story, my husband is Asian. I'm a white female. Our kids are biracial but favor their father. My two youngest were enlisted in daycare. My baby girl was around 5 months and my son was four. At home, he came to play with his sister and asked her playfully, "who is the little chinc eyed chunk?" After questioning him, I found out one of the older workers addressed my daughter that way. The woman was in her 60s. I addressed the issue and she couldn't see how her comments was racist.

I have two stories I can contribute. Kind of boring compared to some of the s#!t that was mentioned in this video, but I thought I'd share anyways. One: It was rumored that lightning did it, but the main HVAC system broke, leaving a good two thirds of the school with no AC. (Mid summer, IN FLORIDA.) Easily got to 95°F during the day. they finally fixed it 2 days before summer break (only for it to be broken again when we got back for the next school year.) Two: First Thursday of my second year. We had a scheduled fire drill where everything went according to plan (even got a record 2:30 for evacuation time!) but as were coming back inside the alarm started again. I didn't realise until I got to my next class that this one was real (Sort of...) when the teacher said we're leaving. It turns out some freshmen decided it'd be a wonderful prank to put someone's locker padlock on one of the fire sprinklers in the men's room. Instead of it just working, he instead broke the head off the ceiling and started the fire alarm again. Took 2 and a half hours for the FD to arrive (they were preoccupied with a real one, or so I'm told) to shut off the water and turn off the alarm. (Apparently if the suppression system is active, the alarm cannot even be silenced.) So, about 3000 students and all the staff were waiting outside in 97°F weather (again, Florida) for the fire martial to arrive with a key to turn off the water. I heard there was about four inches of water by the time it was shut off. Probably would have been worse if it wasn't in the bathroom as they have several floor drains so you can just hose it down every so often. Lots of socializing and walking around with no real goal as the alarms just kept going. It was this incident (and a few others) that got me interested in fire safety systems. TL;DR some idiot freshmen broke the fire sprinkler after a fire drill and sent everyone outside again to do nothing for two hours.

ha sounds more like the freshmen literally gave everyone time to meet with everyone and shoot the shit, aka doing people a favor till the fire alarm got turned off properly and gave the school a reason to build a proper outdoor shelter too.

We had vending machines and kids would spray the walls with pop. Head warned everyone that if it continued happening the vending machines would be turned off. It did and be followed through. A couple of days later at least 50% of students went up on the school field and refused to go back to lessons. They were on strike to get the vending machines back. I saw many of the kids who had been spraying there.

I was at my old college, and apparently it was so popular to do the Harlem Shake. We had practically every single club on campus, trying to outdo each other in terms of doing the Harlem shake. Why this was the case I can’t really give you guys a solid answer. All I know is that every single club with its teacher/advisor was who is doing the Harlem Shake. If I remember properly, we might’ve been have had the competition only to win a pizza party or a donut party or something along the lines of that nature. Is the way if I have to hear the intro course for do the Harlem shake now I am just going to turn the other way I have been fully shook, and by the Harlem shake and I do not want to participate in the dance anymore, I don’t think or know if it’s possible to have overused a trend but for me I feel like the Harlem shake was overused. This is the last time I speak of the Harlem Shake dance. Hopefully that gives you an idea how much it was overused.

My high schools soccer coach (who was also my scout leader) was thrown in jail for breaking into a student's apartment and pissing on her mattress because she stopped having sex with him, he was lucky that she had recently turned 18. Apparently he had been hitting on his students for years. It completely destroyed his marriage and his children were some good friends of mine.

Way back when i was in secondary school (UK), the year before my year was due to move up to 6th form. The school councillor, who was a reverend and also ran the local friday evening youth club, suddenly up and left. He took his son, who was in my year, with him. No one knew why, it was mentioned that his son had commented that his dad was looking for a new job. We found out a few months later from the county newspaper that he had been arrested for SAing young boys at the youth club and during counselling sessions at my school. He had offered counselling to girls as well, me included, but any girl he offered got a bad feeling and never took him up on his offer.

Back when I just transferred into my current school district from my old one which i returned to for freshman year. At this school I had beautiful long curly hair. I was fidgetative kid. Meaning I would fidget in my seat by moving around, screw with stuff in my desk or on my desk, or twist my hair. I had my special ed teacher pull me into the little area between my classroom and the spainsh classroom. Most people know special ed teachers are meant to be kind and understanding to students under their care. This woman was not that. You could be in her room during one of your extracurriculars, attempting to do work with a few other kids. She would help but explain it in a way they wouldn’t understand. So she told me to go home and chop all of my hair off. I rightfully went home in tears. One of my parents called the school and said if it happens again they’ll be taking it above them. Another story from this school. Don’t remember what grade I was in but all the girls had forced lunch counseling sessions as a group due to drama. It didn’t last long. 9th grade year at a different high school from my current one, the teachers gave little to no care about students. You could do anything you want outside and they wouldn’t stop you. We had a fire drill and one of the kids in a wheel chair special ed kid was left inside. Stood outside for a good 25 minutes due to this. Another story. I was bullied in this school in view of cameras and teachers, never once did they do anything. Another story. Kid ran away from the school to the filed across the way. My art class all said ‘they should’ve ran down the hill’. So this school was build on a land fill not that far off from the prison. Police station 35 minutes away. So a prisoner could walk in and hold us hostage or somebody could walk in and shoot up the school before the cops showed up. And due to them building on a land fill they’ve lost there track and playing filed. Last story. Had kids from a different school threaten to shoot up the school. Said kids are from a different district. School did nothing.

I have a few from my high school, in order from least to most severe: - A rumour went around that a girl in the year below me had been caught in the school bathroom masturbating . . . with a MARS BAR. She was in 3rd year I believe, so she was like 14 (in my country we go to high school for up to 6 years). I obviously didn't see it happen, but supposedly it is 100% true. - One day while I was on the bus, waiting to go home, a fight broke out outside between 2 boys. It was sort of around the corner of the school, so again I didn't see anything, but during the fight one of them bashed the other boy's head against the wall of the school. IIRC an ambulance had to be called, but I believe the boy made a full recovery. - A few years after I left school, one of the RE teachers was suspended (and later resigned himself) for messaging who he believed was a 14-year-old girl and arranging to meet up with her for . . . well, you know what. It was actually undercover police he was messaging, and therefore the case was dropped on that technicality (entrapment), but the fact was he thought it was an underage girl. This horrified me and my former classmates; we all had a good relationship with him at school (not that kind, a friendly relationship) and some of us - myself included - had added him on Facebook after we left school. He was one of the teachers that took me and some other students to Italy for a school trip. He had a little bit of a temper, but other than that he seemed like a really great guy and so many people liked him. Needless to say, once we heard about the charges, we deleted him immediately from our social medias.

Teacher playing favoritism and bulling in 4th grade. She make everyone miserable. One of the victims was me specially. Until my classmates found possible the biggest bullshit when she not only reprobe a test who was done perfectly but the 2nd time WITH someone in her side... literally deduct half a point for not been a perfect score because of some BS she invented. Everyone called out , my parents where beyond fuming when they realize the favoritism and the fact: "not all teacher's words are law". But the fact she play favoritism with the bullies. She was so embarrassed publically in the school she has to take a demotion for that. She was still working even after my sister went to high school in the afternoon and see her on the minor grades. Words said she is constantly in fear of the education ministry after that stunt. No one even engage in conversation with her during the time my sister has to pass the flag in her last year. Even teachers almost openly mock her too. TLDR: Teacher made our life hell in 4th grade for about half a year. The scandal was so big even to this day , after 24 years, she has the educational ministry breathing on her neck.

My high school is one of the highest performing non-selective schools in the state, and my state takes up almost half the country, but when I was 12 (year 7-12 is considered high school in my country) one of the older boys got suspended and was so angry he decided to get revenge. He planned the murder on discord about a week beforehand with his female best friend. He convinced her to bring in a knife from home since he had his bag checked every morning. Then he had his friend give him the knife and walked right into admin where he stabbed miss H jest below the chest. Thankfully, miss H was a PE teacher, and moved out of the way enough she wouldn’t be stabbed in the heart. She was near-fatally injured and had to be rushed to the hospital. His friend stayed in admin out of guilt, the realisation of what she’d just done setting in. The older boy, however, ran into campus, and right past my best friend (thankfully not hurting her because he’d lost his knife) and tried to burn the entire school down while everyone was locked in their classrooms to take out the whole student body as part of his revenge. I was luck the police came in time because the power cuts off when there is a fire, and I was upstairs (I’m a wheelchair user) so I wouldn’t have been able to use the lift. After the police arrived with guns, he fled and was found several hours or days later (I can’t remember) near my house. The school now has a controversy page on Wikipedia. (Btw, guns are really hard to come by in my country, which is why he brought a knife)

That story about the kid who made a joke about shootings reminds me of something that happened to my fiancé before I knew him. He was 14 and made a joke about a school shooting, everyone in the conversation knew it was a joke and knew he would never do something like that (he’s never been a violent person). Some months later, a cop shows up at his house looking for him and takes him down to the station. Turns out some girl overheard the joke and took it seriously, and eventually reported him. After being taken away by police he was able to explain it was all a misunderstanding and the joke had been taken out of context and he was allowed to leave, but when telling me this story he told me that was the first time he had ever really been in trouble and he was scared shitless of going to jail over a joke

Millennial Filipino here. Speaking of Catholic schools, I went to two for nursery up to 4th-year HS where anything s3x-related happening bet. you and a fellow student would instantly get you both expelled if you were caught, and *good luck* finding a school that would accept you and let you finish grade/high school. Even non-Catholic/public schools, I heard, would be hesitant to accept you. Aand should one school accept you, you might need to repeat your last grade/year level even if you already finished your final exams and everything else in your prev. school. Seriously, that kinda stuff was considered taboo asf. That was back in my day, tho ('90s-2000s). Not sure what these schools are like now. More lenient and forgiving, I hope.

I hear ya on the "more innocent time" comment. I graduated in the mid-80s, so LONG before cellphones, much less smartphones. My oldest son is 23, and is an extremely high-functioning autistic. When he was in the middle of his freshman year, we moved from a huge city to a small rural town in ... I'm actually not going to say, because it was a massive local case at the time. One day, he calls me over and shows me a message which was sent to him from one of the guys in his class as a "joke." I look at it and the idiot had sent my son nude pictures of three girls in his school, aged 14-18, all in lurid and suggestive poses, with the promise of MORE because the GIRLS had taken them. I only saw the first three pictures because I was scrolling fast, but slammed the phone face down and immediately turned it off. He was crying, telling me he was going to be arrested, and I told him that, no, he wasn't...but SOMEBODY was, probably a LOT of somebodies. I called the police, they came over, I had my son open the phone and show him the message. He asked if my son had asked for the pictures, to which he said no; the only reason the other guy had his number is because they were on the debate team together, and there'd been a phone list made up at the beginning of the year. The officer checked through the phone further, then made some calls. More officers came...they searched our house, confiscated my computer, and my son's computer, as well as our cellphones (which we got back within a day or so...the CP was, thankfully, erased off my son's phone). We had to talk to the District Attorney, sign sworn affidavits, and then the investigation REALLY went into overdrive. The girls had, indeed, taken the pictures, egged on by the young (mid-twenties, at a guess) female coach. Roughly 20-30 girls had taken part! The pictures had then been sent to the BOYS' coach, who had sent them out to his teams. Of COURSE the pictures didn't stop there. Outcome: a LOT of the families moved or sent their daughters to live with relatives elsewhere out-of-town, or out-of-state. ALL of the girls had some sort of community service, and classes on internet permanency (I'm SURE those pictures are still out there...sends chills up my spine...). The two coaches were fired. The male coach was put in jail (think he might still be there). The female coach, who instigated the whole thing, only got probation (typical). Another teacher was found to have the pictures on his computer, so HE was fired and did, I think, a little time, as well. A lot of the boys were warned that their electronics and media (school AND home) would be checked and there'd better not be ANY traces or they'd be charged (they were minors, didn't originally solicit, but DID, stupidly, transmit to other kids which COULD have gotten them into a lot of trouble). Didn't hear of any problems on that quarter, so I guess they were in compliance. My son was found to be just an innocent victim in the whole thing, and any suspicion was dropped. His mother was out-of-town at a conference, so she was none the wiser about what had happened, although she knew about it when the case came to light. I never told her, and I will NEVER tell her, that it kicked off in our kitchen. My son hasn't said a word about it, either, and we don't talk about it. TLDR: A lot of girls take pictures of themselves in compromising positions at the behest of coaches, get seen by most of the boys in school, my son exposed everything, boys and girls are in serious trouble, coaches and a teacher are arrested.

Wow, I finally have one for this. The biggest scandal in our school, was our Geography teacher, Let's call him W, was known for his tricks to get close to female students. There was reportedly a mirror hung in the back of his class, which he would use to sneak peaks up girl's skirts. His trick was to walk up and down between desks, and drop his pen beneath the girl's desks, asking them to pick it up for him. Or, alternatively, the other story was that he would crawl under the desk himself, to get a look at the girl's legs. Not aware of anything happening to him over this, though a teaching inspector told him to remove the mirror. There was also a report of another teacher who ran off with a fifteen year old female student, him being in his late fifties but that was second hand info, so not sure how true. And like others, this was a Catholic school 🙄

The story about that stoner kid just unlocked a new fear for me. I never considered that my son might get TOO HIGH at one point and forgets to put on his jacket. I mean, he often doesn't put on enough clothes because he's a teen and they do that, aparently... but he's never gone outside without a jacket at all... And he usually puts on warmer clothes if I catch him and tell him to do so. It's so cold here that our hair freezes in place even if its just slightly damp after not even 5 minutes outside (were in Alaska). Well... Guess I've got yet another thing to bother him about!
