I have been a Motorhead fan for over 40 years and this song even after over 30 years later is still a tough listen but an essential listen. Lemmy certainly knew how to get a message across in song and was not frightened to approach a subject that maybe a lot of artists would have steered clear of.

@alan-reacts65 It is a difficult and sensitive subject to write a song about and I think any songwriter attempting to do so would have to think long and hard to make sure they got it right. Every time I play the Bastards album and when that song finishes I have to pause it as it is right in the middle of the track listing just to sit quietly and reflect on it as it is such a powerful song before listening to the rest of the album and this is an album I have listen to more times than I can remember but it it still has that strong effect.

I think the same , i think it’s a very important and good song , but the classic Motörhead song it isn’t 😎👍

Think it was the late 80s at a house party in Leeds, Philthy and Lemmy showed up at midnight. About 2 or 3 in the morning Lemmy dragged "the creep" down the stairs onto the lawn and battered him. Then phoned a taxi for him.

I remember seeing an interview with Lemmy asking why he'd written this song. His reply was he was disgusted of seeing people bebopping to Janie's Got a Gun without realizing what the lyrics were saying. Well, Sir, bravo for tearing everyone's emotions to their core.

Please don't touch - great banger, jus cos you got the power - Social commentary more relevant than ever, damage case - pure classic motorhead, going to Brazil - touches of that rockabilly, out of the sun - great deep cut.

I can remember being 15, buying Bastards when it first came out and listening to the album for the first time, usual Mötorhead music, yeah great! Then halfway through the album this song hits and it was like a punch to the gut. Proof that a song doesn't need to be heavy to be brutal and shocking. Next one that I would recommend would be one that marries up the traditional Mötorhead sound with some intelligent, sarcastic and scornful lyrics about religion, politics and war, and that is Orgasmatron. Which also has one of the greatest riffs of all time.

Metal provocation from an old button-pushing biker, or a probing exploration of the tragedy and terror of incest? Bit of both, perhaps? You seem to be choosing the slowest, most lugubrious of the Motorhead songs, Alan. Good reaction!

Honestly I normally don't listen to this song. As much I love motorhead it is a very hard listen.
