Im always impressed with how much the mother fanbase has evolved over the years. It used to be fan art, then fan hacks. Now theyre straight up making their own fan-remakes and original titles.

I find it funny how Mother 3 is the only game that nobody has tried to remake. Just goes to show that it's already great. ...As for the direct, it was pretty hype too.

The only problem with Mother 3 I'd say is that obviously theres some missing content toward the 2nd half when you have your party already because it always felt like some character interaction between the team was needed. Other than that yeah it was already great for sure I'd love a hack that introduces some interaction between all of 'em though.

@@RetroNerdyGamer That could be done. A hack that turns the title screen into "EarthBound Advance" would also be pretty cool I think Mother 3 had the most dialogue from playable characters out of the three games, I can't think of many examples like that in Mother 1 or 2.

I hope we do meet again. I'm around halfway through Earthbound and I was absolutely blown away but the amount and quality of fan creations in this community. still saddened by that one project from last year's direct that fell through like a few months ago. it looked real interesting to me, something about it stuck out among the other games shown last year. i think it was called Shattered Earth or something. its been rebranded, there isnt gonna be a game any more, its planned to be a web comic now.

I am so happy to see the MOTHER Direct come this far since the first one, it really feels like the franchise as it is nowadays truly belongs to the fans rather than Nintendo or anyone else and that makes it feel so special.
