Messed it up how? This wasn’t an eviction proceeding? As she stated, she’s not legally empowered to kick her out. And even if she’s lying about paying the $6300 and is squatting, she still has to be evicted properly. Her hands are tied. I think laws regarding squatters absolutely need to be changed. But suggesting a judge should go rogue and make rulings on issues that aren’t properly before them and over which they have no jurisdiction is a dangerous precedent we do not want to set. The defendant and/or the apartment management needs to take eviction actions against her. It’s a terrible situation and IMO she’s 100% a con artist. But we can’t have courts taking unauthorized actions to solve problems people got themselves into. Don’t let strangers move in with you. But if you do and you end up with a squatter, you need to be prepared to take the proper legal steps to regain your property. It sucks but it’s straight forward

The judge did exactly what she was supposed to do. He either was found guilty or pled guilty either way he was there for sentencing. The judge didn't have to dig as much as she did, if all she cared about was clearing her docket she could have kept the order stating that he had to stay away from the apartment. However, instead she tried to find out more about the apartment situation, and when she saw that the woman had no legal right to the apartment she removed the apartment restrictions, however he is still guilty of DV so she has to keep the restraining order in place. Judges can do a lot when the right paperwork is in front of them, but without the housing laws being properly followed and the right paperwork in front of her she can't just kick out someone from the apartment. If that guy actually wants that woman out of his apartment he needs to follow the law and properly bring it to court, and because of what the judge did today once he does that he will be able to move back into his apartment, instead of waiting for a court date to change his probation conditions. The judge helped him out a lot here and did way more than a lot of other judges would do.

I understand his atty practices in the criminal side of the justice system, however he should be able to guide him in the right direction to an atty that practices in the landlord/tenant area of law.

@jemikabates9038 No his lawyer couldn't. He is a court appointed lawyer who was only appointed to him for arraignment. He is not retained and cannot represent the defendant in a civil motion.

@@deborahbaker1092 this is not his first time Meeting this attorney, this isn’t an arraignment they are talking about scheduling the sentencing. So his lawyer could have suggested to him to hire a process server and have her served as she arriving or leaving court..and court appointed lawyers do handle more than just arraignments , criminal any way..

The lawyer is so stupid in this case. Even i understood what she was hinting at. All they need to do is submit paperwork and come before the court and the lawyer just keeps arguing. She said it as clearly as she could without risking being biased 🤦‍♀️

In Florida pediatricians will still see children that are not vaccinated. The children can also attend school without having vaccinations. Parent must only sign a school form stating they are not vaccinated due to religious beliefs or medical reasons.

They shouldn't treat them.

There are no diseases via vaccination that don't have treatment these days. Does it put the child at higher risk? Perhaps but so do vaccine adverse reactions. Look up anything on the recent covid vaccines. There are truths and concerns on BOTH sides of the isle and we need to treat each other with kindness and humility. As a nurse, we provide care for both the overdosed drug addict and the sweet cookie baking grandma. We provide the same care for children, vaccinated or not. It's just one medical fact to be aware of because it may change how we treat them.

I agree, as a medical professional. However, if I feel that a patient would benefit from it's use, I would be willing to write a letter to the court on their behalf stating that fact and I imagine that would work, if supported by the primary care physician, even if I was not doing the actual prescribing myself. Actually, I've never written a prescription for it although I live in a state where it is legal.

They refer to a doctor who does oftentimes. Which is why he said it's not his PCP and will be continuing to see that particular doctor monthly.

Idk if it’s just me but I feel like Kindergarten has changed a lot, it’s now more like 1st grade. I was surprised when they sent home a paper with a whole list of things they are expected to be able to do by the end of the year including adding and subtracting, write complete sentences, read and know all about syllables. I don’t remember doing anything like that in kindergarten.
