He wants to try and appease everyone instead of doing what he should as a Man, Husband, Father and Son. He should understand that once he married, his wife becomes the number one person in his life and his parents go down in the pecking order. Then when he has a child the parents go down again in the pecking order. His mother just told him that he is pathetic and weak and she is correct. But the problem is that he got that way being raised by her and her husband. He has been so indoctrinated by his parents that he just can't see anyway out of this family.
