The deliberately slow movement of the camera and lack of ambient sounds outside of bassy rumblings and static, the holding a button to sleep and make yourself vulnerable, the easy over-consumption of pills that may effect whatever the hell is going on, the kids' general freakiness... Yeah, this is hitting all those "hide in the comment section" vibes for me; i love it.

The "Death of your children is permanent and CAN NOT be reversed" combined with the text about Tommy's medical records makes me very suspicious. I'm really attached to these kids and really want them to be safe despite having no parental instinct whatsoever. That's the mark of a good game, I think.

It's not just Tommy who represents a monster of undeserved guilt from another loss, but what looks like an actual creep terrorizing the building. This is really a keep-you-on-edge game. This might be one of my favorite playthroughs yet. The gamer instincts, concern for the kids dying, and acting like an exasperated parent blend together perfectly.

I noticed during the sleep menu theres an extremely low bass playing. I'm pretty sure this is using the same effect that some movies use, where we get paranoid when we hear veeeery low bass. Some people can't even hear it, yet still feel the paranoia. This makes even the safe menu even feel unsafe!

This is the first game in years that was actually scary and gave me nightmares slow build up it’s amazing.

what is it about liebestraum no. 3 that makes people want to put it in the opening scenes of their horror games? like whoever wrote "you and me and her" listened to it and was like "wow! i wanna put that in my game about horrifically deconstructing the idea that dating sim heroines can only be happy with the hero!" and then i listened to it and was like "damn this would really slap in a horror game" and then irwin segarane listened to it and was like "wow! i wanna put that in my game about a struggling single mother!" fascinating.
