In the days when many young women worked in the large houses as maids, ladies maids or cooks, they were allowed one Sunday afternoon, the fourth Sunday in Lent, to visit their mothers. My mother passed away in August of last year. One of her favorite hymns was "What a day that will be". She was a fan of the Gaithers. I tried my best to ignore mothers day this year for obvious reasons.
