This week we change from SPI to Motive and review the Primal Shock by Motive. Drilled 45x4.5x45.

I play two-handed and love the Primal Shock ball. I watched your Black Venom video, too, and definitely don't want that ball. It reminds me of my Hammer Gold Obsession Tour Pearl ball. That ball has a strong core and wants to turn early. I can't throw fast enough to play it straight and the further left I move, the ball doesn't really wrap enough for a pocket strike (sure, I can get a strike here and there, but I have to be so precise that I can't repeat). I bought it last year before I really started to pay attention to ball stats. I throw 14lbs and after I listed my arsenal with the stats I discovered that all the balls I do well with have an RG no lower than 2.52. The Obsession ball is 2.485. Live and learn. I can see that the Black Venom (2.50 RG) will give me the same problem that the Obsession ball does. But I really like the Primal Shock and I also use the Venom Shock which I also like a lot.

Yes the Primal shock is a good ball! I will say that I did try the Black Venom in a tournament and it didn’t look bad. My video probably made it look worse than it worse but the primal shock is definitely better. Thank you for your comment and I appreciate you watching!

@@TrueHouseBowler -- I want to add something here about the Hammer Gold Obsession Tour Pearl ball that was giving me trouble. My pro-shop guy polished it up for me, and the next morning I threw a 5-bagger ending with 214. Unheard of for me with that ball. Polishing the surface really helped the ball go longer. Like I said above, live and learn. Now I'm going to buy some polish and get some good use out of this ball.

Try out a Venom Shock. You will be impressed and then do a comparison between the primal and venom shock.

It's a really good ball. Most Motiv equipment doesn't roll well for me but this ball is really really good

Please try the Radical Outer limits and compare to the Storm Absolute if you can?

Can you do a comparison between the Primal Shock and Phaze 2 at the same surface?

How about at 2k? Some say the Primal is like the Phaze 2 but with more continuation but it would be interesting to see side by side.

We get oil carry down a lot in our center and when balls stop reading the lanes I go to this ball

Motiv balls are great till about 50-75 games then they die out. My mythic jackal was amazing then lost half its hook

Motiv has some of the longest lasting covers on the market. Did you reapply polish to it? Try having you proshop sand it down and repolish it and see if it comes back to life

Most modern reactive balls from any manufacturer will lose reaction with that many games. More so if they aren’t maintained/cleaned properly, PSO’s have a resurfacing machine for a reason.
