One of the cool things about this scene is how each member approaches throwing down differently. Vince steps down and goes for a punch, Nikki swings his bass at someone, Tommy just fucking dives in, and Mick tastefully kicks someone while staying onstage, lol.

one of the worst things is that the only truth about this gig is the one with the crowd they dont like them but thats all the rest never happened,its more fantastic movie like other ones,i like it but i wish they did a better one with great actors and better regie and more of the ggg and Theatre era from 87 88 and 85 86,the movie could be a real Blockbuster but its more like B Movie

One thing I wished they did in this movie is spend more time in the sunset strip, and showed them partying with the other Glam bands like Ratt, Quiet Riot ect.

@@ssian5678 That would've been cool, but they were playing the strip at a different time to Motley, Ratt, Quiet Riot ect, maybe they could've fitted them in later on. Ratt used to party with Motley and they're my favourite band of that genre so I hoped to see them.

@@ssian5678 Back then after the shows the audiences and people of the strip would flock to either to Motley's apartment or Ratt's apartment which they called "Ratt Mansion" for a huge party. And also you can see a short glimpse of Robbin Crosby in the Franklin Plaza scene where Nikki overdoses.

Love the freeze frame stuff in this scene. Its humor really adds to the action, especially the Nikki Sixx narration (“...our first show and it’s gonna go like this?”).

I'm not sure how I feel about them. They make me laugh and they give the scene a 'video-game' vibe if that makes sense, which ups the energy and drags the viewer into the scene. But there's also something a bit hacky and sophomoric about those transitions, too. Can't put my finger on it but it comes over a little cheap and juvenile (but then, ain't that Crüe all over? ;))

You could defi Italy tell thst the band members had far too much say in how their characters were portrayed. Vince was basically a loving boyfriend/husband and father in the movie.

I was at a show once where the band did this. The guitar player had a beef with a group in the crowd. It ended up with the whole band leaping off the stage and brawling in the middle of the club. They fought the problem group out the door them returned to the stage and finished their set. That night was a blast. Pimpadelic ruled for a bit. 🤘🏻

To be fair, the timeline in the movie is really fucked up. For example, when Vince fucks Tom Zutaut's date, that was at the US festival according to the book, so they could've played someplace completely different than in the movie.

You got to remember, these guys were always in the thick of it. They got busted for fighting cops They busted cop car windows and pissed inside the cop cars. When they were running around with rat, they called themselves The Gladiators. At that time Jake E Lee was still in Ratt and decades ago I heard stories about how he was into martial arts and he carried a knife in his boots. He was a chill dude but not one to fuck with. I saw the streets of Hollywood and sunset back in '81 after a Van Halen concert, if you think they're bad now, just know they've always been bad
