I took the Moto Guzzi V85tt out on a little motocamping adventure Where I show you how to camp from a motorcycle on the cheap as well as the gear I use.

The V85 is brill for camping, it can hold a lot and has no issues doing so :-) I love the fun of not knowing if the bed will go flat... you'll not die, you'll just realise you should have drunk more beer before going to bed! :D I like your tent. Rok Straps FTW :D I use a Trangia for cooking, really simple and works well in all weathers if the methylated spirit is not old :-)

Those are some amazing woods there. Good video, people tend to overthink their gear and underthink their sleep. My old sergeant told me as a kid; any idiot can be cold and miserable.

Great common sense video! I cycle camped (toured) for years, I am now 60 and am using all my cycling camping gear on my motorbike now, it works great! Many thanks.

This video will help me a lot, I'm going to Mandello del Lario for Moto Guzzi's 100 years anniversary, and will be the first time I camp with the bike. BTW, you should grease the rear shock upper ball to eliminate that niiick niiick noise...
@cubbysue3 жыл бұрын
Yeah, I didn't notice the noise until I watched the video. Sounds awful. I hope you have a great trip, wish I could go.

Nice videos! Rok Straps and baby wipes for the win! Two serious game changers for me. I love my V85TT for camping and actually camp in your neck of the woods a few times a year.

Do you stay in the Natural Bridge area? It is definitely beautiful there and a great place to camp.
@aproud12 жыл бұрын
@@cubbysue Yes, usually on the outskirts of the Red River Gorge. Gonna get nutty down there with that resort. Center stand and rear shock videos were very helpful btw.

Everything is better with butter. Back in the day l use to use an A10 can 2 ton3 Lt (4_5pints) with a bit of wire as a handle l always used a pressed steel fry pan ease of use like castiron with less breakage

Nice trails lol, thats some boonies alright. That cot setup is neat, I never seen that. I got that same dewalt bag, lol I think from an impact wrench. Nifty setup, nice. Those little led lights were kool too. And the rollup pillows, nice setup. I got to get me some saddlebags of somekind or something, for my v7 or Husky. Ive ended up using my Husky as more of an adventure bike than a hooligan bike since I got it. LOL just go out to eat to avoid the having to bring cookware, bring a bunch of beef jerkey or something chomp sticks or something, probably work good.
@cubbysue3 жыл бұрын
Put some nobby tires on the Husky and strap on a duffel bag and you will be good to go. Just getting together to ride up here would be a step in the right direction. Thanks for watching, it turned out to be waaaaaay longer that I thought it would be.

If you're every in the mood for a riding buddy I'd like to ride and camp with you sometime. I'm up in Northern Kentucky. I currently have KTM 390 ADV but have been eyeing the V85TT for a long while. I would love to hear more about your ownership experience and where to ride and camp in the DB National Forest.

We meet at Freshes Big Boy in Georgetown every second Saturday of the month. We will be there the 11th if you are interested. I always look for a reason to get out.

Wow that’s fantastic that you Owen all those woods , it’s beautiful , I love trees. Can I ask are there any bears in your part of the country?
@cubbysue Жыл бұрын
There are black bears, which are not very aggressive, but I have rarely seen them. Normally, the bears and the bobcats run away from people, it's the copperheads and the mountain rattle snakes that are the main worries while in the woods.

@@cubbysue oh my goodness, I would be so scared, I’m used to uk where it’s very safe , we only have foxes , dear and a not very poisonous adda which you never see . There was talk about reintroducing wolfs but that didn’t happen , oh and we have the Golden Eagle .
