On Moto Control channel you will find videos about motorcycles, motorcycle riding techniques, tips & tricks and online motorcycle training for beginner and advanced riders!
A little info about me. My name is Andrei Bodrov, originally I'm from Moscow, Russia, and now I live in Buenos Aires, Argentina. Back in Moscow I was a motorcycle instructor and creator of Moto Control Beginner & Advanced motorcycle rider courses, which quickly became the most popular courses in Moscow (well, at least the advanced one😁). My advanced training course makes emphasis on slow speed riding techniques at first (such as good clutch and throttle control, proper riding posture, proper use of vision, etc.), then proceeds to more advanced techniques (such as aggressive braking, trail braking, maximal lean angle). The course incorporates a lot of exercises from DOSAF slow speed riding (similar to police rodeo like motorcycle training in USA), braking and cornering exercises and motogymkhana style riding. And now, since I actively learn English - I decided to post some useful videos for both your and mine practice!😉
🏍️🏍️🏍️
Since everyone writes this, it's necessary, I suppose 🤷, so here we go. Disclaimer: Ride at your own risk, you are responsible for your own safety. Me, Andrey Bodrov and my channel, Moto Control disclaim any liability incurred in connection with the use of riding techniques from this channel. Use common sense, wear full protective gear and ride in a safe and predictable manner!

The more I feel that relaxed control on the bike, as opposed to nervousness, the more addictive it gets.

Mastering slow speed riding & balance is really necessary. As a very new rider, today I was going through city jams (caused by F1 fensing), and had numerous start/stops and slow speed movement among cars - so even my little efforts to develop skills described in this video paid back. My main struggle now is to keep hands loose during small turns, as it prevents me from good clutch/throttle control when turning.

You have such great enthusiasm and your videos are top notch. If every rider would practice your lessons just 5 minutes a day they would improve their skills and accidents and injuries would be reduced. Keep up the great work.

Great information! There is a reason that rake and trail are so often specified on data sheets. Trail helps keep the motorcycle stable as it moves forward. The contact patch of the motorcycle wants to center behind where the line from the steering head axis hits the ground (not a line down the center of the fork tubes). Anyone wanting to turn their Harley into a chopper had better be familiar with this concept.

Do you have any advice for someone who had a bad experience with their first time learning to ride? Had never been on a motorcycle before and this past weekend I took a safety course. The bikes were much bigger than expected (Harley Street 500s) and I had a hard time with it (5'1, 105lbs). Dropped it several times. Couldn't take a slow turn successfully. I have a Yamaha V-Star 250 in the garage. I assume it will be much easier to learn on with being about 200 pounds less, but right now my confidence is a bit shot.

how about this, i have problem when doing my figure 8 test, i'm holding the clutch filly off and after awhile the bike run out of momentum and i want to add more power so i release the clutch a little bit, when the clutch start to engage friction zone it's make the bike slower (almost suddenly) and because i wanting more power to gain more speed so i have trouble, i struggle and lost my balance. (also my figure 8 test is the most hard on earth, you have to keep both wheels in 19 inch lane of 22 ft U-turn figure 8 all the time so i very struggle when trying turn corectly, much easier if free to do turn but in tight lane i can't, any advice?) many thanks...

Hi Andrey, thanks for a nice video. If I may have a video request; what about dropping the motorbike (falling) at low (or high) speeds; what to do personally to get hurt as little as possible. (don't get your leg/foot caught under the bike, how to not burn your legs on the exhaust pipe, get your hand/arm stuck in between the handlebar grips and the barkbuster crashguards, ...) And maybe also the pro and contra's about bike protection? I have a friend who had a crash at only 60km/h and his bike got flipped over several times because his crash bar got caught on a small short obstacle sticking out of the side of the road. In his scenario his motorbike would have been much better of without crash bars around the engine. Anyway; thanks for your video's!
