If Casey Stoner 27 is still in Motogp 2013, it will be hardest and difficult for Jorge Lorenzo to win here in Australia MotoGP World Championship. Because , during Stoner in the last 6 years always won here in his own home. You can see in Wikipedia MOTOGP from 2007 until his last race of 27 in 2012. CaseyStoner 27 is always be the king of Philip Island... The king of Philip Island is 27.

Pedrosa's penalty was for crossing the line at pit exit, not for pit in over speed limit. None of the commentators saw the marquee...

If not for that unlucky sachsenring crash, 2013 was lorenzo's year with 8 victories compared to Marc's 6. He crashed what 3 times in practice and broke his collarbone on 2 occasions while Marc crashed 15 times fracturing only a little finger in Silverstone.

I'm fairly new to Moto GP but what is the point of the safety car??.... I only imagine they are checking the track, correct?

that is correct. The safety car which leaves 5 min before the race is to check the track (ei. making sure it's clear) and then the safety car which follows the bikes for the first lap is basically the same thing since the first laps tends to be messy
