Test drove one today and I have to say I was really impressed. Always a Ford truck lover but the new Dodge is twice the truck compared to the Chevy's and Ford's. Congrats to Dodge they did a really great job, and that's an understatement. You Ford and Chevy guys test drive one sometime and you'll fall in love with the overall look, power, ride, comfort, and overall packages that this beast offers.

I have to admit it's a nice looking truck. Keep in mind these new trucks and big SUVs were on the drawing board before gas prices shot up. I give the big 3 credit for forging ahead any way they can.

No offence and I hate to present a contradictory opinion to yours. I owned Dodge trucks for the past 11 years, my experience has been incredibly great, they are strong, they never break down, I don't recall ever having to repair them. I currently own the 2006 RAM 1500 5.7 HEMI and I can't wait to get my hand on the 2009.

I actually like this truck...and it is said to get around 23 mpg, which would make it the most fuel efficient dodge ram available....

I just noticed that, I like when they come out the side sometimes. you have to replace the bumped to replace an exhaust or else it looks odd.

I've read the same thing. 6-door cars have been done before, but I doubt that Cerberus would allow them to do that.

They drive like a sports car. I love my 05 Hemi Ram QC 4X4 but the new one is light years ahead in ride and handeling. Someday when my finances are better. The Ford F150 is nice also, but just seems to lack something that the Ram has, that fun to drive thing.

Its a good looking truck, i like the upgrades to the 5.7l hemi. But, honestly i like the 06-08 design, especially the front end. After looking at all the pics of the new ram, i bought an '08 big horn. i was in the market and wanted to get the '08 body style before it was gone...(well, thats what i told the wife anyways, lol)

ok thats really cool that you read brochures but the rear suspension is just a simple 4 link. its what almost every suv now has. calm yourself with the dodge inflating. they have already had reviews and complaints that even thought the engine has more power, the transmission is not putting it to the ground as well as it should. its a nice truck and the effort in weight reduction is really awesome. hopefully it will save the rapidly dissolving dodge company.

Wow, i really like the looks of this truck. It's nice to see for once since several years ago for at least one of the big 3 to make a fullsize truck that isn't uglier than the previous body style...

the new dodges were faster but still the tundra is pretty sweet too, i like them 2 trucks the best

I read somewhere that Dodge is gonna make a six door version of this truck that can carry nine people. Not sure why though, I think it'll look weird if they do that. I think I first read it on wikipedia if you guys want to check it out.

Dodge V8 360 MPFI 92´ that´s a good truck, I have a friend who has a 2007 turbo diesel and runs great, I really don´t understand those guys who wants to see a mix of civic/corolla/truck, pick ups were made for work.

the Toyota Tundra is a totally new truck, I was expecting the same from DOdge, a full body makeover, not just grill and tires, sideview mirrors. The whole body makeover.

dodge have done a cool job with the sloping grill but i was looking forward to some extra changes to the grill still, like ford did, still looks awsome, theres never been a ram that hasnt, looking forwrd to seeing other models too

Oh, okay. Makes sense. I guess I feel that people need to understand that vehicles are being built everywhere by everyone. Honestly, I can't find a good enough reason to be biased against Toyota. For example, the Tundra is built in San Antonio, while the heavy duty Rams are built in Mexico. All I personally care for is to see Americans work. Revenue doesn't matter one bit because that pretty penny doesn't go to American families. It goes to CEOs trying to afford their German and Italian cars.

@MPLSTORM The 6.2 in the raptor puts out 326rwhp stock, thats in the raptor, which will have more loss due to the bigger tires. in the regular F150 the rwhp will be more then 326. the 2009 ram hemi with 390BHP has been dyno'd to have 312rwhp thats far from the same

my dream truck is the dodge ram t-rex. it has a 500 hp v-10 kind of like the srt10 but its made for offroad. i want them to take the mega cab and make it a 6x6 but instead of the v-10 make it a cummins

The Toyota Prius was on the Drawing Board in 1994 when gas was $1.00 or so a gallon. it came out in 1997[Japan] then 2003 in the USA when gas was less than $2 a gallon the energy crisis of the 70s caused people to buy efficient Japanese cars and never looked back. its happening again today ! no wonder the big 3 is no more

if i remember it was pulling a boat down the highway. it was a dark color but i remember seeing "viper" on the back. dosent nessary make it the srt10 right but it had the hood intake and was low and had big disc breaks and big fat back tires

This truck tops all of the other ones out there, Ford brags about their towing, but they have about 80 horsepower less than the Ram, power=tow, the reliability has sky rocketed since 03' as for Ford, they can stick with catching on fire and their super duty transmissions are only tack-welded, transmissions can blow in less than a week...their new truck is hardly different, so they added a pair of headlights and a grill, nothing fancy. I've owned two Dodge's and they have been great

This is a beautiful truck, got to sit in one and the interior is second to none. I think Chevy and ford are also nice trucks, just depends on your style. Its gonna be a tough decision for me. Gotta check out the svt raptor..You wont catch me in one of those zippermobiles though. Buy American!

Nice truck! I'm so glad at least they are still keeping the solid live axle since they decided to do without leaf springs (bad decision). It seems like everybody is turning to independent rear suspension which, in my opinion is just plain garbage. Long live big trucks and the solid rear axle!

Is that even possible? The problem is the gas pedal STICKING, not spontaneously accelerating. And here's an automotive lesson for you...When you shift your vehicle into neutral, your engine "disengages" from the transmission.

well thats the point. Its well known fact that bigger engines last longer so you dont have to buy new truck every 3-4 years... and maybe thats more ecologic cause you dunt have to produce new and new car so you just drain one resource instead of few more to crate a new truck.. got my point?

id buy one for bogging and offroading, and the occasional street driving, but not every day. way too much gas. then get a civic hybrid for every day use with 40mpg :D

@PLANET41zombie891 well i don't mind the older ones, but the newer ones i find useless as trucks, due to the new coil spring rear suspension, instead of leaf spring, coil springs greatly impair the towing and hauling capabilities, which is what trucks are made for right? they are comfortable to drive, but kinda useless if you need to tow big loads. And the interior imo is terrible, but again, just my opinion. If they replace the coils with conventional leafs, it would eba much better truck imo

I have a lifted '08 Doge Ram HEMI, and I could care less how long it lasts, because in 5 years, I'll want a new truck, and I've got the money to buy a new one. So for now, all I care about is that mine outperforms all current and previous model Chevys by a landslide. I suppose having a Chevy that lasts 200,000 miles is cool if you're a broke as Mexican.

well if you have to be rich to own this truck, then you will have to be more rich to own any of the others...the new hemi has MDS and variable cam timing. it's supposed to be more fuel efficient than the competition
