Motorcycle Around The World
The incredible LIVE Your Life - TeapotOne Motorcycle Around the World, is the story of Bruce Smart's epic 74,000 miles, 54 countries in 442 days, solo & unsupported around the world by motorcycle adventure, to keep a promise.
From 1st October 2012 to 14th June 2014, Bruce Smart rode a Suzuki GSX-R1000 74,000 miles around the world, solo and unsupported, through 54 countries to keep a promise he made his mum before she lost her battle with cancer. There were ups, there were downs, highs and lows, but one aspect shone through, the overwhelming friendship and support shown from almost everybody he met around the world.
From Europe to South East Asia, Russia to Australasia, South America to the USA and Canada, almost everybody he met opened their lives and homes to a complete stranger, and the journey grew and grew.
The entire RTW adventure was caught on film, from issues with motorcycle shipping, to the most dangerous road traveled, this travel blog, or travel vlog, is a documentary you just can't miss.

Episode 12 of the series see's me hitting Indonesia and Timor. I found this stage really tough for some reason, think it was probably the heat and just being plain old tired from so long on the road.
I'll apologise now as I think it's a pretty boring vid compared to some of the others, but I suppose it has to reflect the good and bad stages of the trip.
The country is great, the people are brilliant, but I just seemed to get out of bed the wrong side most mornings ;-)
Hope you enjoy, the OZ vid is next and should be ready in by end of Jan/beginning of Feb.

I started riding when living in Vietnam... so the last few vids are making both nostalgic and remember why I don’t miss it. Crap roads and near death experiences! The traffic in Indonesia is another level... can’t imagine doing it in leathers. Mad respect Bruce.

Takes me back to riding through Lombok, Sumbawa, Flores and Timor in 1996. Had a few interesting experiences along the way. Loading the mighty Honda Win (97cc) onto small ferries...the fellas nearly dropped it into the sea once. Don't miss those bigger ferries, had a few really tough trips on those.

Now there's an advantage of flip-up type helmets I hadn't thought of - if you're going to throw up, you can flip the chin piece out of the way and keep it clean.

Far out, what a trip😲. I particularly like the fact that you have NOT used an adventurer bike for this .....good stuff. Just came across your channel on recommendation from TMF and pretty much all avo watched your vids. To use a phrase from your vids "I am knackered". Up to this episode now and your just about to enter my country. Shame I am 4 years too late, otherwise I would have invited you to a beer or 10🤙🍻 Great videos mate and you have earned a new subscriber ! rsm8

One rule for motorcycle trip in Indonesia: Do NOT ride where the trucks and buses go which means ALL the major roads. Do a skirmish around towns and mountains and you will be rewarded greatly

That looked like some tough travelling through Indonesia initially. Everyone I know that has ridden through there says the people are amazingly friendly. I've only been to Bali which is obviously a lot different to most of Indonesia, but I love it there, lots of fun riding in Bali! A month is very quick. But I would have been tempted to do the same in that situation. A friend of mine took well over a year to ride through Indonesia. I think you should have kept that mo look. Dead sexy! 🤣
