I purchased a similar bulb for my 2001 vstar 650 classic. Looked great in the garage, no orientation clip and reviews were good saying it’s plug and play. Took her down the road and the spread and coverage area was so poor I may has well have had no bulb. Even on high beam. Honestly the stock bulb is just fine. I live in a mountainous area so some areas are very dark and there’s a need to keep your eyes out for road obstructions and critters. I think my best option is a full headlight housing/can replacement if anything. I’ve heard good things about “sun pie” brand as a budget friendly alternative. Full disclosure it’s possible I should’ve checked the orientation and I am currently putting the led back in to give it another go. But it also gave me a weird feeling that it flickered when bike was warming up. She’s garage kept so I worry about an overdraw and damage to electrical. The listed draw was lower than stock and no fan thingy. Just the bulb

Looks like a lot of dark spots on the sides... perhaps the bulbs were installed in the wrong position? Just wondering.

so can i just buy a led and put it in a originally incandescent light?

wait, the stock halogen bulb sucks 55W only, and LED is 100W how is this possible? the bulb would cause damage to electrical unit if its sucking double the power no? is theres more to it besides plug n play?

Beware the clip from hell!!! I loosed it to much .ended up hunting the screw and clip in the grass then played with the clip for 20 minutes. Dam 10 min. Job my a. . Thank you.should have checked you out first.time for a beer. Peace out.
