We have a Black Edition Cadiz so perfect choice ! We also tried Motorhomes and came back to a caravan for exactly the same reasons. We absolutely love our Cadiz its perfect so welcome back and happy caravanning x

Welcome back, as we did earlier this year! 12 years of motorhoming from 2008 to 2020. We missed the space and comfort of the caravan, I agree with you on the captains chairs, they just aren't as comfortable as a 'proper' chair/bench seat. We also find that if you are setting the caravan up for a long stay, it takes around the same time as the motorhome. We went from a Bailey Autograph 79-4 to the Bailey Alicanto Grande Porto and are loving it. We're looking forward to seeing your new adventures soon....... and Dorset eh? We are in and from Weymouth. Hi you two. I understand where you are coming from in your decision. Having recently been on our first trip out in our new Motorhome, we stayed put on site and thoroughly enjoyed it. I must admit there is a little bit of me that is anxious and wondering how we will get on with travelling from place to place and getting out there to see the sights. I guess we will have to try to remember that what comes out of the cupboard goes back in the cupboard lol. The proof of knowing is doing, just like you have done, so watch this space. We love our caravan and my brother in Law loves their motorhome. We keep thinking about the simplicity of the MH, but keep coming back to the question of getting about when you arrive. Totally agree guys. For me , part of the enjoyment of caravanning is the initial set up, making it home for your holiday. Motorhomes are amazing but not as flexible as a caravan. Enjoy your new Bailey and Good luck 👍

We've had a big motorhome, then a caravan, little motorhome, then a caravan, middle size motorhome and now FOREVER a caravan. Yes we agree with all you have said. We were in the Lake District but there was so much we couldn't see. A caravan works so well, we have a base but can travel where we want and when we want in the car. Yes the comfort is wonderful in a caravan especially after a busy day looking around the area. Like you we tried every set up, but in the end we, like you we are caravanners - and we are older than you. Hope you keep going with vlogs in your caravan. Just discovered you and so happy to watch a couple in a caravan.

Good call. We found the same thing.. we researched and tried the Motorhome idea but came to the "Caravan" Travel Trailer as best for us. We love ours and are happy you came to the decision that is best for you. Safe Travels! Looking forward to watching your adventures.

Fully understand. In an ideal world I'd have both. MH for shorter weekend trips and and a caravan for longer stays. Look forward to seeing the new 'van.

OMG, yesterday morning we were caravanning with you, by yesterday afternoon we were travelling to Scotland with you in the Motorhome, now just a day later we’re back in the caravan! Phew that was a trip, maybe we won’t make that jump just yet. Interesting about the comfort. All our motorhome friends say how luxurious our Bailey is and how use to the space we are. Island bed for us though. Thanks again.

Well you know life is best lived as a series of experiments and you went for it and were rewarded with some amazing motorhoming adventures and as well as being fantastic they showed what the next bit of your future looks like and for now it’s caravan shaped but who knows when life has moved on again it’ll probably change shape again :) If you hadn’t gone for it a year ago you might still be wondering (and regretting) not seizing the opportunity! The important thing is you know yourselves and what works best for the near future so I’m (not that we matter in such a decision!) super happy that you’re happy and the Unicorn Black series looks amazing so I’m sure you’ll have lots of wonderful times in that :) Happy travels! I won't say that guys. If I am going to be honest with you I did question your decision to go to the "darkside" hehehehe. It's the same for us.... a motorhome would probably suit us later in life than right now. We like the idea of a base then the car helps us explore the area around the base. first time i've seen this channel but you both seem like really nice people, will look forward to your next channel

We have for 15 to 20 years run rallies for the caravan and Motorhome club and seen at least 60 or so people do what you did, then after a fee months switch back to a caravan. We agree with everything your saying. The alternative is towing a car like Bob and Jenny or electric bikes like extreme Motorhome adventures, very beat of luck and take care. Happy caravanning.

We have been looking to get a motorhome, but kept coming up with reasons not too. We thought we were being too picky but after watching this I realise they were all the reasons you have mentioned. Oh if only you knew what we was going to do . We have been caravaning fot 20 years we have taken 4 Grandchildren away with us sometimes their mums in UK and Europe had lots of fun we have done this every years sometimes for 6 weeks at a time every year. all our bikes including ours a total of 6 bikes they loved it, and we felt honoured they wanted to come with us .so we thought a motor home might be a better option as only 1 Grandchild and his friend comes with us. we thought would use a motor home daily for small trips . But I looked at our caravan online today and said what are we doing .We love setting it up making it look lovely .we also love going to visit different places and love the van. I was trying to find caravan vloggers on u tube when you popped up and said exactly what I had realised this afternoon we love caravaning it suits us , I am so glad you have spoken out as it confirmed what we have already said for years . We really enjoyed watching you both and Loved your new van.So enjoy being a caravaner as we do have lots of fun thank you for making us realise how lucky we are to be caravaner

It was interesting to hear your reasons for going back to a caravan as we have been contemplating getting a MoHo (not just yet) and the reasons you said are the reasons we are not convinced it’s the right move for us either. I have to admit i've had the same conversation many times and for all the reasons you've given i've stuck with the caravan. both are fantastic but you have to choose the one that's right for you. If only I could afford both :-)

Great decision guys, we bought a twin axel 6 berth Abbey earlier this year as our fixed bed swift wasn't right layout with kids, I think the motor home suited your Scotland tour where you want to move round every couple of days but I can see how it could be a pain for a week long holiday on one campsite.

We made the same decision when we were working then it was difficult to tour into small villages car park height restrictions so we moved from the dark side (ha ha) in 2016 we just purchased our second new caravan 2020 welcome back from the black hole we made the same decision and reasons as you both discussed no difference motorhomes v Caravans good luck We looked at black edition range but went for coachman vip Dave

It’s whatever suits yourselves and lifestyle ....we love our caravan too as it leaves you the car to get out and about ....but we are not the caravan users that just set up for 2 weeks (which maybe have to do with kids) I love to tour for a few days here then move one

Each to there own. That's the reason why we prefer a campervan as it can be used as a car and go to places that you could not in a big motorhome.

We thought long and hard before we made our purchase of our leisure vehicle, for all the reasons you said we brought a caravan. That was 2 years ago, we then subscribed to your channel and had loads of fun watching your antics. However when you changed to a motorhome I couldn't bear it anymore and ended our subscription to your channel, I was just about to re subscribe then you said you was getting a bailey. Only joking enjoy the bailey and we have now resubcribed welcome back CCC.

Hi Guys well you know 😂😂😂😂 I totally agree with your decision I love my caravan and the lounge space although a motor home is ideal for a quick weekend and travelling on one or two night stops then moving on a caravan is far better for a long holiday just to set up and leave and pop off in your car. I would imagine it far more expensive to run as well. You have give it a go and you have made a decision it’s not for you well done and good luck with your new caravan. By the way Vicky my Husband has the same problem with my snoring 😴 so you are not the only one 😂👍

You are still part of the camping fraternity..be it motorhome, campervan, trailertent, tent etc. Thank God you are not packing up altogether.... Looking forward to future travels..more laughs and fun to come.

I think the main difference for me, a Caravan generally stays at a Campsite for a week or more and and you use your Car for sightseeing. A Motorhome is a short stay vehicle and used extensively for touring ,most likely moving on after a day or two.I know there are exceptions but having had both I prefer the freedom a Motorhome gives.

We also have a Bailey black edition Cadiz we have come back to a caravan after a long gap and agree with all your reasons we lived in poole fo 33 years and now our children grown up we are now enjoying the caravan since collecting it end of July so we will be looking for you

Hi you two - I could have told you you would since we come across dozens on our travels to France every year. We met people wo looked at us longingly as we set up our caravan and then stuck the bikes on the car and then took trips out even to go to the supermarkets etc. Some motorhomers even towed a small car or on a trailer to get around this. Many told us they had switched because they feared a snake but after I told them I had the solution they said they would change back and just keep watch on my system ( did not show them what it was) I hate to be a spoil sport but make the most of it since it will be coming to and end now that we have a new Asian millionaire PM and the great reset it about to land on us.

Is surprising how many are going back to caravans from motorhome...that's why it's important to pick your motorhome and not Rush into it iv caravan for years and for me I'm going to motorhome now but chuck a little motorcycle on the back..but good luck at least you got the balls to give it a go..

To be honest I was disappointed when you went to Motorhoming as I loved the caravan you had. A year or so ago when we were caravanners and we looked at some Motorhomes. However we found the comfort and space of a caravan lacking. We decided that out of the 2 we preferred a caravan. I think sometimes you have to try things before you realise where your heart lies. Well done on reaching the right decision for you both at this stage of your lives! (We've gone back were our heart lies and bought a narrowboat!!)

I think a motor home is for touring mountainous areas like if you are going to watch Tour de France but a lot of people we have seen on some site that have got motor home tow a little car behind them they use the car to go into to towns and site seeing but I purfer a caravan

I retire soon and I’m going to get a motorhome, yep, I must be old lol.

Looking forward to seeing the new van. We have a moho. Swift escape 685. Love it but agree that on longer hols we want a car. We've taken a car too sometimes. Getting a caravan in and out of our road would be a challenge. If that wasn't an issue we would def consider a caravan. However, we do weekends leaving fri eve like last night. We arrived here 715 and were set up in 5 mins. Would miss that. There's pros and cons to both. No right or wrong.
