Just bought mine. What can I say, it's just amazing. The acceleration is very fast. It is not a 200 hp, it is 230 hp and around 250 torque. VW underrates their cars in order to meet the market's "set point".

Good review. VW has always placed their GLX/GLI models right where the BMW 3-series starts. Not a bad strategy. I had a GLX for many years and loved its sporty, yet luxurious ride. This car looks like it would fit the bill as well.

You don't pay extra for the leather seats or anything that brings it to 34,000$. If you configure the car on VW's site and select Autobahn then it is automatically added in the price. A 2012 GLI Autobahn w/ Navigation only comes out to 28,000$ not 34.

EVO's are way more than 35K. For that you MIGHT get a WRX...

Vw, Audi, Seat, and Skoda. They all the same cars, im a auto tech n let me tell u this, if u get manual transmission n service it sooner than what the manufacturer tells u all be ok. How ever the cat transmission is shit, and the service intervals between same cars on the same platform used by the vw Audi etc are different makes no fucking sense. My apologies meant no disrespect to anyone. Audi A4, VW jetta, Skoda, and Seat, my bad if I didn't spelled the last one correctly. They same cars just different badge, and its all good but why the f#%$& will there be different time intervals on the same f#$%@ car. Again my apologies for my language.

$35,000 FOR A JETTA GLI THAT ONLY PRODUCES 200HP? THAT'S CRAZY. I RATHER USE THAT $35,000 TO BUY A MITSUBISHI LANCER EVOLUTION OR A SUBARY WRX-STI WHICH PRODUCES 300HP WITH ALL-WHEEL-DRIVE ALONG WITH JAPANESE BUILT QUALITY AND RELIABILITY.
