Just completed 2,37,000 km Tata Nexon disel model (December 2017). Overall the experience was good till date. We got highest mileage of 28km on highway. (It depends on your driving style) Some of the following issues/ problems we faced. 1) Changed suspension at 1,75,000km 2) Timing belt has changed at 1.75 lakh km 3) Boot/Dicky switch was not working after 1.5 lakh km. 4) Door lock of codriver side damaged after 1.5 lakh km 5) Tail light of right side was also damaged that time where a biker hits our nexon on a signal. 6) Battery was changed after 4 yrs. Other than this no any major issue we faced till now. We also owned Tata vista Quadrajet engine model back in 2010. We almost completed more than 3,50,000km on that vehicle. Then after that we shifted to nexon.

Tata's new revetron & Revetroq engines literally changed how their engines last. Earlier safari, indicas had some issues but these new engines which were launched post 2015 were superb. I too have a 2017 Tiago petrol which is as reliable as it was on day 1

I have seen all your nexon videos. I own 2019 bs4 diesel nexon with 55k odo. I am fully satisfied with nexon in terms of comfort, reliability, performance and fuel efficiency. I have done trips like Ladakh, sikkim etc without and issues and 90 percent of my nexon driven on highway. Only major part changed was faulty cooling coil and expansion valve though in warranty rest most expenses are in regular maintenance. Tyres and clutch are still going good.

9:37 If you see, there is heavy cutting(grooves) in the rotors. This indicate that it's time to either replace these rotors or lathe them. It is not safe to operate brakes with this heavy grooving. But don't below the thickness of ~27mm

Good afternoon boys , so i have a tata tiago xz which i bought in october 2017 , without any bias let me tell you this, i had completed 1.34 lakh kms and how is my experience ? Phenomenal. Btw i went for the services timely, changed tyres for 5th time and i have installed ceat endurance this time , changed wiper blades , boot shocks , and everything else was part of the services like brake pads and all , btw i did replace one of my front lights and at the end apart from some interior noises as i drove vehicle in a very insensitive way , it is Phenomenal.

We have nexon diesel 2017 manual. Now run 80k. At 60k on the odo, soon after crossing 5 years, we had to replace gearbox which costed us 50k. The issue was d car would jerk forward by itself when left in neutral. But still we r happy with power and mileage.

Maruti 800 ran about 70,000 km 2001 model it's runs like butter 😊😊

My family have a Tata bolt which we bought in 2015 is still going very good .we also we have tata Nexon 2019 model which is also good.

Thanks Rachit and Motor Octane Team, your reviews were one of the major reason I went for Nexon in 2023. One year with the car, no major concers. Its basically an all rounder car . My petrol manual gives around 18 - 22kmpl in highways and in city 8-13 (depending on traffic). Handling, comfort, ride quality has been smooth and great so far. Infotainment is basic but it does the job correctly. Audio is excellent. AC is very good. Since mine is XZ+Lux have not seen much issues related to fit and finish also. The headlight is the one thing which i am planning to upgrade in near future. Just couple of suggestion for any new buyers, dont do much electrical alterations from 3rd party vendors or local shops. Its not a sports car or SUV, so dont treat it like one and push it very hard.

We last year got a second hand Nexon 2018 model XZA+, the AMT variant in this red colour. Which is almost 1lakh km driven still the car feels like new. Literally best decision.

My Nexon is 5 year old, XZ+ petrol, 70k km Problems I faced- 1. Had to change the infotainment screen after about 3 years 2. The USB input used for Android auto does not work well with any cable and no service centre has been able to rectify the issue.

I have had two Tata Indicas, 2 Tata Safaris 3L and then 2.2 dicor, Tata Zest and now I have a Tiago in home. Apart from these I have used Skoda, Ford and now I own Kia Optima 2.4 and a Mini Cooper 1.6. Out of all these experiences Tata was the best ones. Never had a single major issue either with engines or of any that sort. Safari 3L was a beast with Tata 407 engine inside. Skoda had an engine failure, Ford had multiple issues, Kia had an engine overhaul too. But Tata never let me down. That’s my experience. Others may have bad experience or their POV may be based on even not owning a Tata for long time or may be a genuine I can’t say.

Same experience here. I just loved driving this car.

I am here in Canada and here only engine and transmission is the only and only thing people look at. No features, no panel gaps, no fade out, no rust nothing. If that two things are working your car is still a car.

How did you came to know about the rusting of the fuel tank? And is it more in diesel tanks?

We own a 2018 August Tata Nexon xz+ Diesel. It still drives really good. Did normal service, only thing we replaced are volume rotate and AC vents.

Tata Indica Vista Quadrajet owned from 2012 to 2018, covered almost 200000 kms. Sold Because only of rusting and interior issues...rest of all, the car was amazing..

I am driving Nexon from 2021 and I faced below issues 1. Change the tyres before 30000 km 2. Oil filter got damaged just after warranty was finished 3. Battery was defective and need to change within 6 months 4. It is giving average between 10-11

Meri tiago 2017 make petrol, 1.04 lakh kms done. Recently changed few suspension parts, AC condenser and had power window failure one door, and with bit of rattle otherwise the car is mechanically sound, and gives highway mileage of 21kmpl.

My tiago.ev completed 50k in just 13 months with no problems

Meri Tiago to 70k chali 6 year me .. problem nhi hai .. glove box me panel gap meri car me bhi aya hai .. and front plastic me bhi thoda gap aya and because of that it gives some sound when goes through bad road

My Maruti WagonR 2019 model completed 1.25 lakhs kilometer still no complaint even my clutch plate is still fine as I am always doing highway running no issue even my CNG car is giving still above 32-35 km/kg mileage which is still above all benchmarks and in city also running is very smooth 😊

My Nexon is Nov 2018 xz+ model single tone white colour, mere time par sirf xz+ dual tone me co driver side passive entry milta tha, 2021 me gear knob ka material kharab hone laga tha aur wo prblm jo iske pehle saal me hi dikh gye the wo hai rusting issue, back gear engage karne par rear camera ke sath infotaintment ka hang hona, low headlight visibility, location of charging points in front cabin and tyres perform very bad in mud, iske alawa sab thik hai 👍

I bought red nexon diesel.manual same model XZ+ September 2017. 1st batch. In the 2nd month I did not had a clear idea and hit a divider. The right wheel link got damaged. After that never had an accident. Done 59000 kms mileage 17-18 kmpl. Last month I had to work on front suspension but it was only small spares. Except the headlights, I really have no problems. I thought of changing my car from last 4 months and I watched videos on xuv700 and safari. But I really don't like any option except slavia or vw. But the car prices, insurance and mileage are not very promising.

I bought nexon petrol top variant in april 2022. In a month I noticed that oil leakage was there which was fault of the showroom because they didn’t do proper PDI but they were helpful in fixing the issue. I also opted for the extended warranty of 1 year. I got only 2 year warranty from the company with RSA(usually it’s 3 years in every car manufacturer even now it’s showing 3 years for nexon). In March 2024 i stared facing issues with cruise control after visiting showroom i got to know that my battery was damaged and needed replacement so I replaced it. Got my service done in April within a week i had problem of waterlike sound coming from dashboard for which i again visited the showroom they had my car inspected for 2-3 days got the car on 20th april the service date was 12th April. On 31st May my car brokedown while i was visiting a hospital when called tata emergency breakdown service they told me that my warranty and rsa(road side assistance expired in april 24). The issue was overheating of the engine and coolant was leaking down. Towed my car to the showroom. (No update still yet). Ps:- I love the car overall very good bought it for family safety but service experience is very bad.

I have the 2018 Nexon XZ+ Diesel. The glovebox panel gap actually is a problem with all Nexons of that time.

I own Tiago xz Diesel June 2016. 70k kms till date, no major issues or replacement just regular yearly service that's all.

I have a 2017 Tata Tiago. It runs like a new car, and the engine feels like new with no drop in performance. I've driven it multiple times for 2000 km continuously without any breakdowns. Whoever has driven it has changed their opinion about Tata car. The car's AC performance is the best, and the sound quality is amazing. I'm totally satisfied. Yes, there are issues with vibration and engine noise, but it is not unreliable.

My friend using nexon 2018 model, total running 1.19lakhs kms, no issue so far. Myself using 2022 model nexon petrol total running 30 kms, never faced any issue.

I own same nexon, xz+ diesel 2017. In my experience build quality could be improved. As I had to replace all 4 door latches as they won’t lock. Also had to replace power window motor of driver side. Other than that. Everything good. 60k kms so far.

Iam driving Nexon xz petrol version since 2019, I experienced 26.50 km/ pl it's a good car I am proud to be the owner of Tata Nexon till now I have driven 32000 kms and I didn't face any problems till.

Owing Nexon AMT+ Petrol 2021 model, happy with the car performance, tata service is also good, mileage is 10km city and 17-19km on highway (AMT hai isliye thoda kam hai)

Driving Tiago since 2016, 94k Km done. still going good. no suspension work done yet.

About the mileage thing, i own an xz+ first gen diesel tata Nexon. In city i usually get between 18-20kmpl. & In highway, i have got 33.76 kmpl mileage, the calculation being full tank to full thank thing. Also, this was done with proper AC, just that i usually drive at 80-90kmph

I also own the same nexon model just a different color and a bit less driven. The pannel gap and the aux compartment and the handrest are as intact as when It was bought ig it depends on how we keep or maintain our car. However, the gear knob and the piano black part of the climate controls have scratches and wear and tear and that's very obvious in piano black. And the major charge we had was the shockup replace of boot, and the coolent was leaking so 2 parts changed under the bonnet not remember the names but both the parts were 6-7k each.

My uncle bought a tata tiago in 2017 and in 2019 he sold it because of High maintenance and after 40k km, the instrument cluster Always show engine light even after leaving car for 1 month on service center they still didn't solved the issues after that be sold the car with disappointment because of resale value and also tata service centre staff is not as good and experienced in terms of Costomer and their interests. In 2020 he bought a hyundai I20 and he is very happy now, what i want to say that tata's Service cost and maintenance is higher compared to other companies like hyundai, suzuki and Honda they should focus on building reliable engine rather than launching new cars. Companies like toyota and suzuki has the most reliable and smooth engine in the market uptill now and now three more companies also Joined this list with Hyundai, Kia and mahinda i don't know about kia but Mahindra also have major reliability issues in electronic Components not in engine but i don't know their Maintenance cost because i own toyota Innova crsyta but j drove a XuV700 and that was the smoothest engine with low sound compared to my innova and also ignore my grammer and some English errors.

The long-term performance of your car is significantly influenced by the quality of its maintenance. Regular servicing, using high-quality engine oil, and timely replacement of worn-out parts will undoubtedly ensure the engine's longevity.

Build and design quality is the only saving grace of Tata cars. I own a Punch and it's 2 years old and the engine is still as smooth as it was when it came out the showroom and gear shifter has become smooth overtime. Just remember never to complain about any problems with service centre issues, cause they'll blackmail your account in service records and you'll endup getting harassed at any Tata service centre.

My nexon 2019 diesel model 140k km driven is absolutely fine and gives milage of 23 km/l
