Thanks for this very informative video as I'm planning to repair my edge lite 20 as it has a broken screen. You clearly showed and talked about all the connectors inside the phone as well as things like screw sizes and disassembly procedures. This will be a great help to me when I go ahead with the repair. Yes it does. I followed this video to change the screen of my moto edge 20 lite and it matches perfectly.

Wanted to ask whether this is the Indian or european or US variant? And what's the use of graphene films or strips on these phones?

Edge 20 Fusion is only sold in India so would be the version from India. The rest of the regions have the Edge 20 lite which has a lower model processor. The graphene films or graphite transfer heat like thermal pads or thermal paste etc. They help take the heat from the components on the inside and transfer them out of the phone.

I buy them, usually companies do not give out phones to be taken apart. Sometimes they give phones out to reviewers to review but they require contracts to be signed to not be taken apart and so forth, but even in that case my channel is not large enough for them to give me phones to review. :)

How do you calculate your repairability score? For me, having a glued back and a battery without pull tabs is horrible. The only good part is that the rear panel is made out of plastic instead of glass and that the internals are modular, that's it... I would have given it a score between 4 or 5 out of 10.

I usually base it off how easily the back plate is removable as well as how many parts need to come off for the screen to be able to be replaced and how difficult it is to pry the battery off etc. The longer and more tedious the disassembly is, the lower I will score it. Also of course how easy it is to damage parts during the disassembly.

Man my moto edge 20 fusion needs a new screen and i searched all of market in my City not available anywhere in India, official care centre asks half price of phone which is not possible for me my screen glass is broke but works and am not able to find any oca front replacement glass for it and now my phone is kind of use less. Can u send me ur lcd if u dont need it?

What the freak moto? Skhynix with Mediatek makes the worst combination as skhynix end to slow down after years of usage... Thanks PBK for clearly showing the storage & processor.

I basically buy phones by understanding Ram-Rom & processor make & model like everyone do with a transcend/SanDisk(WD)/crucial(micron)/samsung/Kingston SSD during building their PC or laptop. I buy phones based on this theory. I don't lick any company's foot or features or athestics of modern smartphone device! Also I disassemble many devices to clean & reapply thermal paste on processor & Storage chip in a smartphone. That's where I got the experience from 😌

Nothing major like the other models of the edge 20 series. I was also a bit surprised but doesnt mean it doesn't have any cooling or heat transfer. But would have liked to see atleast a graphite layer on the midframe under the board aside from the graphene film if not a copper heat pipe.

Just thermal paste and graphene film to transfer heat, but nothing special like a heat pipe or vapor chamber.

Not really sure about how much cooling graphene film and thermal coating can do, but it sounds like it is not sufficient to support the high end specs of the phone. How much does copper film, graphite layer and an alluminium block would have costed them (like in edge 20) and do these provide sufficient cooling ?
