Yup, its not the best I've seen but its not bad. A vapor chamber and a bit better thermal paste installation would have been better.

I'm still using it because it's fast enough and the camera is almost in the same class as the latest iPhone 15Pro max. Especially the lens with the 5x optical zoom. It still kills most phones. This phone should be another classic product in Motorola's history

hello, im running out of options so im asking here, has somebody replaced the wifi-bluetooth board? or what does this two antennas have in common? i've been having issues with this phone and those antenas for months with no luck in repairing it, thanks for any help provided!

Hi, before you change a screen on Motorola edge 20 pro, would you need to remove all this parts or there's anyway easier.

You would need to remove most of the parts until you have access to disconnecting the screen cable from the main board and running it through the cut out in the mid frame so when you pry the screen off the frame itself, you can run the replacement screen cable back through the mid frame and re assemble. But if you're using a screen with frame combo, you would move over all your parts from your old frame to the new.

Hi, it is an aluminum alloy mid frame but has plastic borders. You can see where the black plastic border begins and the silver frame ends when the phone has been disassembled. Merry Christmas!

Excelent video like always, just one question just for curisity, this phone has OIS? Moto says only the tele lens have it and it's a pity considering last year Edge Plus have 108 mpx wih OIS ...and on-screen fingerprint, and stereo speakers, and wireless and reverse charging, and 5000 mah battery, and so on hahaha

Look at the price difference bro,, moto edge plus has 90hz refresh rate and come up with a 18watt charger,, these features are ancient

@@aloksinghrajput7874 No OIS, no stereo speakers, no in-screen fingerprint and no wireless charging in a flagship are truly unaceptable, also, here in México, both phones were launched at 999 USD. At least, I belive they gonna fix all that faulta ib the Frontier 22 in July.

Would you recommend me this phone ? This phone costs around 460 dollars in India with conversion. Im a big fan of stock android and considering this phone has impressive specs and hardware would you recommend it to me? If not which phone would you suggest?

Thank you. Yes the midframe is aluminum alloy with a plastic border. Once the phone is disassembled in the video, you can see where the aluminum ends and the black plastic border begins.

@@ashishupadhaya5448 not all motorola phones do that, but thats usually related to software issues or overheating if there is any liquid damage or excessive use. Try backing up your data and doing a factory reset to see if it would solve the issue.

Excelent video. Could you point out where the memory is located? I have a damage on the motherboard, but managed to get a spare motherboard. I would like to try to interchange the memories.

The ROM or storage chip is soldered to the main board under one of the covered shields. It would require solder expertise to be able to de solder and swap them.

Hi, it is polymer, its confusing but batteries are labeled as lithium ion polymer and ones which are just lithium ion only say lithium ion.

I want to buy Edge 20 pro. Will it be a good choice in terms of built quality ? Because i use moto g5s plus and it's built from metal literally !! Using since 4 years . Will it be worth upgrading?

I think the Edge 20 pro is a good device, I would upgrade to it, however I would wait until the edge 30 ultra or edge X is released in a month or two so the prices would be lower on the edge 20 pro.

usually you would need to check ebay and sites like that, but if there aren't any, you would need to look for a phone with a broken screen or some other issue, to remove the board from.

The Qualcomm 870 processor is made by Samsung that's why it's a double stacked chip. Above processor is the Micron Ram. THESE KIND OF DOUBLE STACKING MAKES THERMAL MANAGEMENT WORSE. DONT KNOW WHY BRANDS DO THAT...

Might make thermals worst but performance wise, higher/faster speeds are achieved with the ram and processor being together or 3d stacked and also takes up less room allowing more space for other components.

I've always thought so too,regards of the components being stacked together to achieve higher speed transfer,at the long run they would be crippled by excess thermal constraints !

Hi, its not a bad device at all. But if I were you, I would get the edge s pro (just make sure the network bands on the edge s pro will work for your network/carrier) instead of the edge 20 pro since both are the same exact phone, just the edge s pro is the re-branded/re-named version that is sold in china and it's cheaper in price.

Notes that MYUI still can install back all Google services and enable it with root ROM, but MYUI can only use language in Chinese and English only

Hello, I have been facing fast battery drain issue on this device, I have tried battery calibration and reset, nothing works, it goes down to 0 and then shuts down, without charging it when I try to power it back on, it shows ~20% remaining still. My query is will it be safe to get a battery replacement, as some people say once you disassemble a device it loses its IP rating, or should I ask them to replace my phone instead.

If you replace the adhesive with the original pre cut adhesive, it will retain the water resistance. But I can't find any available online at the moment. If your sending the phone to motorola or and authorized motorola repair center to replace the battery, they will be re adhering the back plate/ battery door with the original pre cut adhesive and ensure the IP rating or water resistance.

not every black tape is graphine pad... most of those foils are just shieldings.

correct, the thin paper like film ones true are not graphene films but the ones I do point out that I mention are which have dual layers usually with black protective film on to top but grey graphene layer on bottom. The ones shown in this video were all in fact graphene film.

Автор ещё отделался малой кровью и потом при снятии батареи. Я при снятии акб с moto edge 20 pro даже погнул немного с двух сторон акб. Заводской клей капитально держит её, без металлической лопатки(как на видео) и крепкого матерного слова не обойтись...
