I agree with everything the Motor Week reviewer stated. The C7 is a hit and the car looks fantastic in just about every color and wheel combination. The interior quality is excellent. The performance is incredible. It is a comfortable cruiser as well as fast great handling sports car. That's why I bought one. I still receive plenty of complements on my C7 whenever I take it out for a spin.

+cjc90 The ride is comfortable for me in both the touring and sport modes. I haven't tried the track mode since I haven't taken it to the track. The performance exhaust is loud and rowdy, but you can control that with the ride option nob. Both the handling and performance are exceptional. I didn't get the performance seats because I heard they were too hard. I prefer comfortable seats and the standard seats are very comfortable.

Idk if I would agree with that. I rented one in the same color as the video, except, it had chrome or silver 5 stars. Now I don't remember. I just remembered thinking the car didn't "pop"

Love the new features new style and reincarnation of a wonderful corvette as for those who complain about the price Im 27 and I pick mine up next week in which i will post a review, anybody with two legs and a good set of eyes should be ambitious enough to make whatever kind of money they want but if you cant afford a 50k car dont lust for it, some people work hard some people just have good family some people make less than 25k a year but whoever you are and what you do remember as long as you breathe air new cars will always be released if you set a goal for yourself however long it takes you can have this car its not going anywhere.

w.i. henley So far this summer, Id only seen a white C7 in person, normally my favorite car color for its clean look, but the black accents and details against the stark white contrast, looks gaudy. Saw a silver C7 for the 1st time in person the other day. Its Boss. Its Detroit Robocop meets Italian Ferrari. I honked in approval like a little kid, and he honked back. Vettes are for the non-snobby, alpha guys who want to go fast in style and timeless tradition. Seeing it in person inspired me, Im getting one.

whats wild is that a 2018 mustang gt will make 460 hp 420 tq and the bullit version 480hp from 5.0 liters vs 6.2 from the vette... Although, those vettes sound viciously agressive, what a sound! having sat in the seat and revved it and heard it from behind.. would have loved to have driven one but non serious looker here not a buyer ..The interior feel and build quality is levels above any previous gen vette..they got it right this time..whole car is like a work of art

Love the C7 Stingray! Will be buying a 2016 in about 4 1/2 years when I get closer to retirement and my current 2013 Lexus ES350 is paid off. Do i need the Z51 package ? Probably not, but if the one I like has it I’ll take it. TBH, I’d rather have the 18 in /19in wheels in the non Z51 for a little better ride and i don’t want summer only tires which i heard barely last 20k miles. I’ll get the 4 season version of the Michelin Sport ...I’ll be driving this all year around and probably wont be tracking it... Like to get the magnetic ride control option also...

Loves the car AND the quality. Said the vettes were just made too badly. Hopefully this new one is better. Plus the GTR can beat just about anything under 200 grand from the showroom floor.

All I can say is... that's just what Motorweek does. The reason I even came here was the quip about knee-jerk blogs. Most the low-budget videos still don't do much for me since they interject too much music (usually rock) with fire across the screen, because clueless marketing people think we're all into monster trucks. With that, I appreciate Motorweek remains quietly journalistic without trying too hard, but they should have left such a petty comment out, as it then becomes hypocritical.

In other countries, amber turn signals are required, but because the German vehicles are now using them in their modern cars, I think Chevy decided to put them. This might be a globalized sports car, despite being Made in America. In the old days all American cars had red turn signals combined with the brake light. Almost all the cars sold currently have red turn signals in the back, including Mercedes, BMW, Acura, Infiniti, and all other brands.

I do love the look of the new Vette, but why can't GM put more power in it? It seems like they're not using the Corvettes potential properly, I realize that 455 is still a lot, and that GM is at the top of it's game when they utilize the maximum of the engine by getting everything they can out of that HP, but I really think they need to join the 600+ club, or AT LEAST the 550 club, the ZR1 was a beast, why can't they put that in EVERY car, stop trying to make it affordable, it's a sports car, it's not supposed to be affordable

I'm personally not a fan of American cars (I prefer Japanese cars), but the only reason I have not been a fan of our makes have been because of bulk and weight (obviously not including the Vette). Notice how the only actual flagship sports-car we have is the Vette. While Viper semi fell off and... when's the last time you've seen a Ford GT outside of special events now days. I will one day design a car that will be as sleek as it is powerful, with a goal set on not overburdening the driver with outrageous weight / bulk so the car can handle a curve as well as it can fly on a straight. We need more cars like this, not straight line train wrecks. 1000+ hp and infinite torque means nothing if it can't be controlled. And as far as Euro cars are concerned, yeah they usually look really nice, but like I've mentioned in many other posts, why do I always see Euro cars with critical engine problems? They have their flaws too. Lastly, don't think just because I prefer Jap cars that I don't acknowledge their flaws as well, they have as many as the rest.

ForzaS1 Japanese cars are alright, but the Japanese market doesn't really pursue the same kind of cars that European and US car makers aim for. Japanese sport cars usually mean 4 or 6 cylinders with turbo, also the styling isn't appealing to everyone. Don't get me wrong, it is amazing what car manufacturers can do with 6 cylinders; but keep in mind of other key roles that play in the operation of the car. Honda, Toyota and Subaru for example; their sport cars are usually just souped up family cars. Nissan is the only one that actually makes a good sports car; which is the 370Z and also their cheaper Altima coupe.. Mitsubishi tries to make their cars very sporty; but they are really more souped up sedans as well; not as dedicated as the 370Z or corvette would be in example. In terms of "control"; I don't see your point. Most of the cars today on the road that are performance cars have really great suspension and handling for cornering, etc.. I think there are finer points which indicate manufacturers who do better or worse; but the aftermarket scene is always an important factor for enthusiasts. Honestly, if I ever get an import sports car and I didn't want to spend 100k, I would probably get a Hyundai (South Korean) Genesis Coupe. Those are fun cars to drive and offer great control and power for the price you can get them. But for daily driving; I love simple cars with affordable repairs and simplicity, no complex bullshit like you see in most newer cars today.

Exceptions to low budget channels might be Petrolicious (though it's more classic car porn rather than reviews, and may make good bank), Chris Harris at /Drive (which again has some good backing behind it), Winding Road (again, semi-large backing), and one of the lesser ones is MPGomatic. Harris' /Drive platform mate Matt Farrah has/had some of the usual tires smoke and rock I was talking about, as an example.
