I have one, it was my first car, I bought from a junkyard and it had rust, no muffler and a leak on the roof but it drove amazingly well, I bought it as a throw-away car to get me from A to B, but it became an amazing companion, so I restored it and stll drive it, even with 280000 miles I love it and I'll never sell it.

@Monica Yeah, as far as I know, it is normal as the car is cold and old engines burn gas a little less efficiently. But if the smell lingers on, it could use a tuneup, or maybe a rubber seal on the injectors might be loose or needs replacing. I wouldn’t worry that much about that though. The odometer on mine has stopped working after crossing 300k but the car still works amazingly, I recently put some gorgeous BBS basketweaves on it and I could not be happier, even if it isn’t my daily driver anymore

"The roof is too heavy for the women who will be driving this car" Oh boy, I can imagine how that would go over if this thing came out today.
@C.Church5 жыл бұрын
The problem with that old way of thinking was also bad for guys. You get a bad arm or have a disability, you're made out to be "less than a man" since only "women will have trouble with this." I'm glad that old way of thinking is going out. ps. Nowadays I imagine they would just say it would be a struggle if your arms were full or couldn't reach. Let the viewer decide what that means for him- or herself.

Love our '87 E30 convertible, it's such a fun automobile. And I used to watch MotorWeek religiously with my dad back in the day. It's almost a little surreal to see my car on here.. the sounds and performance numbers are pretty similar to ours (all stock, no modifications). Funny to see porn-'stache guy struggling to put the top down like we did when we first bought it. Lol

I had a 428i, not sure how or why it's junk, the car drove like it was on rails, could literally do anything, had great build quality, could stop on a dime, had amazing tech, was comfortable and dramatically faster than this car. These people that say everything today is junk are just dbags who can't afford anything new so they pretend something they buy for $2000 is better than what you can get today. Hint: It's not, dummy.

I had a 1987 325i Convertible. It was a great car. Traded it in for a 1995 325 I convertible 5 speed. That car was literally perfect. I made the UNFORTUNATE decision to replace that 1995 with a 2005 SLK. I had the 1995 for 10 years. It was not in need of replacement and I was concentrating on my education at the time, no money for cars. What A PILE OF GARBAGE the SLK was!!! After having that for a little over two years, I ordered a 2007 328i hardtop, which was BOUGHT BACK by BMW 6 months after delivery because of an issue with the hardtop convertible. I replaced it with a 2008 335i convertible and that was junk because of the fuel pump issues. I kept it until I got a Porsche Boxster S in 2010. Kept that until 2013, got a Mercedes E550 convertible. That v8 was pure driving finesse. Traded the 2013 for a 2019 E53 Convertible. I miss my v8, but this EClass is the best car I've ever owned, and as you can tell, I've had many cars. I've had a convertible and a family car both at the same time. My "family" car currently is a 2019 Panamera 4s

***** I missed the"hits" and "misses" on current MotorWeek reviews. "Hits" is defined on what improved or changed; what they like about it. "Misses" is defined on what they don't like about the car; what needs to be improved and/or changed about the car. I watched MotorWeek when I was born on July 16, 1994.
