I don't care about the visibility!!!! This is by far the best Camaro ever built!!!!! I've whooped on Hellcats because I can keep the throttle open bending hard corners!! And that's in a convertible! This is most definitely a true keeper!!!!!

its simply transcended the genre, its left the mustang and Challenger behind and is now going had to head with the M4, ATS V, and C63. with an interior better than the mustangs, better handling closer to the GT350 than the GT, and better acceleration than the SRT 392 Challenger.

In my opinion: Camaro SS wins: Engine (by a hair), styling, track performance Mustang GT wins: Interior design, seating position, visibility Both cars are really kick ass machines for the money, though. The real winner is the American muscle car buyer...

I've been a follower of motorweek for years, but one thing I've noticed is it seems with these reviewers all cars are great and there's hardly ever any criticism, so all cars are great, and nothing is ever wrong with any car. Please tell me not just the good, and start with the bad first, that way you can work your way up.

I never thought I'd want to own an American car, let along a Chevy Camaro, but the all-around performance and sophistication for the price is unbeatable. The so called poor visibility is completely blown out of proportion. Adjust your seat and mirrors properly and you can clearly see what's going on around you. I had no issues driving one of these on the highway and in the city. If you want a panoramic view of the world to go sightseeing, then buy an RV.

Still don't get the stamens that you can't see out of these vehicles. I see amazingly well. The long windows allow me to see everything next to me. I'm 6 1" though. I felt I couldn't see well out of the Mustang when I test drove it.

Long time Mustang guy here, taking delivery of my 2016 Mosaic black 2SS 6 speed next week. I had a 2006 GTO as a divorce present to myself a few years ago, sold to a friend to buy a house, now time for a new toy. i LOVE the Shelby but the GT gives up too much to the Camaro.

The only glass I found hard to see out of was the rear windows. If you take the time to adjust the seat and mirrors correctly, you shouldn't have any problem seeing over the dashboard. I'm 6'1 and my SS fits me like a glove. The journalists (I think it was C&D, maybe Motor Trend) whining about the HVAC vents only cooling the shifter probably didn't take the time to realize those are adjustable too. People will have their opinions though, although in this day and age, some people just tend to more and more share other people's opinions without any first hand experience

Hmm, The Challenger SRT392 is my cross country cruiser. Seats 5 and still fun. Mustang has that Aston Martin flair with that Coyote 5.0. But Camaro takes all the marbles for balance, power, and that noisy awesome Corvette V8. 1SS or 2SS, you pick them. You won't be upset with either. The V6 Camaro is quite good. The Mustang and Challenger V6 a snooze. The Turbo 4 is won by the Camaro again. Ecoboost 4 in the Mustang is not a real player here. So the spoiler here is the 1SS with the 6 speed, or the 8 speed, find your new road, and have fun. 'Cuda needs to get here, Mustang is still too heavy. Camaro is the one.

Hence the reason they handle so well is the thousands of hours of suspension testing carried out at Holden's test facility being subjected to tests and roads never encountered in the good old usa

I really like the new Camaro and own the earlier platform but let's be real. Performance aside, no one looking to purchase an M4 or similar car is going to cross shop the Camaro. I knew when I modded my car and my old Fox that even though both were faster then most cars they'd encounter, they were still not as lux, didn't have the interior quality or the cache of the cars they might outrun. It was fun to watch them recede rapidly in the mirror, but I knew if I were given the choice even I would prefer the more expensive car. My cars are both loud, crude barbarian handfuls (which was my intent). Apparently this new SS is not, but still, the Corvette can chase the super cars, the Camaro will always fight the Mustang and (type name of latest Chry-co muscle car here).

thing is, it understeers....suddenly. to small front tires and to small front rotors. The old ZL1 feels more confident in fast curves. It may be faster than the Mustang but the Mustang has wider front tires and bigger front rotors with a more neutral settting ? could be more confident to a average driver! C7 with Z51package is the way to go.

The 4K price difference does not justify being .4 seconds to 60 faster than the stang. So no this does not "blow away" the mustang with performance unless you want to match the price then it would.

$4k over a Mustang??? Hell no, I'll take a Mustang over this garbage with a button for an e-brake. Or better yet, I'll take the Challenger with the Scat Pack which looks hotter than either of these and is more of a real hot rod and you can comfortably fit 4 adults in it.

Wade America had yet to build a successful and dynamic car. All the good US carscare based on European platforms. You Yanks are really deluded. The first and last GT40 both developed in the UK.

Finally Yanks, All US cars are built to a price not a standard. As for drivers, you never won the WRC and your Le Mann and F1 results are dismal.
