Motorbike Adventure South America. Get ready for an epic journey where I'll explore South America's stunning landscapes and fully immerse myself in the adventurer lifestyle. As I make my way through Brazil, Argentina, Peru, and Chile on Herman, my trusty 2007 BMW 1200GS, I'll be camping under the stars, cooking up delicious meals over a campfire, and truly living life on the road.
Picture this: waking up to the sound of nature, with the scent of freshl coffee filling the air as I prepare for another day of exploration. From setting up camp in remote wilderness areas to cooking basic but hearty meals using local ingredients sourced along the road every aspect of the journey will be an adventure in itself.
Living the adventurer lifestyle means embracing the unknown, and I'll be diving headfirst into the experience, whether navigating rugged trails, crossing mountain passes, or encountering fascinating wildlife along the route. Each day will bring new challenges and discoveries, and I'll share them all with you as I document my travels in "Motorbike Adventure South America." here on my Channel.
Follow me on my journey and see if I make it all the way. Or may I bite off more than I can chew? An old man on a Motorbike Adventure through South America-what could possibly go wrong? I don't know how to do it all, but I'll figure it out.
It starts here.

Thanks, Tony. It's a bit hit-and-miss when fixing things. But I try.

So cool! Im a bit the same as you. I rode my KTM 890 from Vancouver (i flew it there from NZ) to Panama. My bike is still there and im going back to ride on to south America in oct/nov. I feel excited but maybe not as much as i should be! BTW i run a BMW Motorrad workshop in NZ, BMW now replace the drive shafts free of charge for 60K+ liquid cooled bikes. See you in South America :)

It is one of the effects of being real about motorbike travelling, that to much expectation leads to disappointment. It's hard work. The world is a big place when you travel like this. I'd love to see NZ. How did you get on with your KTM? I choose my old bike over the my 1250 for this trip. You never know if it comes back with me. Stay in touch. We may bump into each other.

A bit unlucky, mate. I can't fault my dealer. It's seldom the motorbike , its people. A friend of mine has a KTM that performs excellent, but the local workshop broke all sorts of things during service. It's the people.

No tengo prisa. Gracias, Stephan
