Great walkthrough. For anyone else trying this for the first time I would recommend mounting your camera before you mount the mic adapter. Because your camera has to be in a specific position, it will be easier to mount it first then position the microphone adapter where you need it for proper/secure connection.

I have a GoPro case that holds the adapter under the camera. I said screw that velcro stuff lol

I've seen someone wrap their phone (I guess you could just fit a field recorder instead) in a tshirt or some similar cloth, placing it underneath the seat, so youve got a really nice exhaust note & the audio from your helmet setup. just sync after post or whatever. Anyways nice setup

I'm waiting for my Bell qualifier to come and then I'll be able to mount the GoPro! I'm from the east central part of Illinois btw. About 20 miles west of Terre Haute, Indiana. I'm always up for a ride.

That's a sweet set up!! I remember back in 06 I took apart headphones and mounted the speakers in my helmet and ran a cord out of the back to a ipod shuffle, that was BALLIN back then🤣😂🤣

As seen before, the accessories/mounts can break free in a spill; are there any hazards in removing the helmet after a crash with this setup? Thinking out loud. My wreck was with a deer and alone; didn't walk away, but protected my phone and luckily no helmet problems. Different scenarios. Am a fan.

Great vid just wanted to mention they have a GoPro Housing case that has a slot for that mic jack so you don't have to stick it to your helmet.

Gopro are great and I will be getting one very soon but I can't understand the mic adapter requirement.. You would think they would come up with a better system? The 60 dollar akaso needs no adapter and my mic set up is so convenient and compact and easy and sounds great. IL be getting an external audi recorder anyway but still for vlogging u would think they'd have a better set up for mics

Excellent content and well executed. I have the same setup except my gopro case has a location as part of the case that holds the mic adapter. That saves a whole step of having to put it on your helmet. I can remove the gopro from the helmet and put it on my handheld tripod for walking blogging or talking to my camera. I'm curious if you have seen one and if you have why you didn't use it? Mine is a ulanze I got three years ago. Cheers from NZ

yoo this is crazy I was literally in the middle of trying to setup my helmet and I look at KZfaq and this dropped 2 hours ago. those chin mounts are wildly overpriced in my opinion though, $35 for a 3d printed gopro adapter is just straight up bullshit
