First scene with Stephen I thought, "Not gonna be good... Later, I hear a Air Ambulance flying over my house, "Probably a mountain biker." Unfortunately where I live we get tourists from all over the world and at least 1/3 of our medical flights are bicyclists... Glad it ended well for all ❤

As a specialist in emergency medicine, it always staggers me that push bike riders can travel along at motor vehicle speeds with almost zero protective clothing. They suffer worse injuries than motorbike riders at suburban speeds. At least those have body armour, boots and a decent helmet. The light weight helmets used by bike riders are next to useless with no lateral protection where the skull is at its most vulnerable. Then with complete disregard of the risks, and to the distress they have caused their loved ones, they get on a bike again and take all the risks that nearly killed them before. I think it's the height of arrogance and selfishness.

About a month ago, a young man on a scooter tried to outrun a delivery truck in front of my apartment building. He got hit. Badly. Wasn't wearing a helmet or any body protection. Luckily we have a hospital across the street, so help arrived swiftly. Yesterday I saw the same young man engage in a similar game with another truck. Again no helmet. Defies logic really.

Need to make it an embarrassment not to be wearing protective gear and good helmets to ride bikes. Parents, schools, bike clubs, and media could help educate children on the very serious types of injuries they risk when they don’t. With global warming, we definitely need more bike riders, but they also need more education.

Shouldn't your anger be at the lack of bicycle infrastructure? Most people who ride bikes do so out of necessity, not for fun. If they don't take those risks they could lose their jobs, homes, etc. Kind of crazy to blame them for things that are out of their power. I've also witnessed the contempt motorists often have for cyclists, with road rage making them lose their marbles and put cyclists in danger, sometimes on purpose.

@@jeanholsworth4300 Have you considered volunteering? There are plenty of organizations who could use another pair of hands and I know from experience that feeling needed helps to assuage the loneliness a bit. I especially like volunteering at my local food bank and with an organization that helps teen parents. It is very rewarding.

I have a DNR and I believe that when Jesus comes to take me home there's no doctor no hospital know where that can stop me from passing on ! My family cannot tell the doctors to stop the DNR I have talked to an attorney and he has stated in my DNR that no one can stop the DNR and no tubes know nothing that would keep me alive !
