Travelers used to opt for staying in a campground over a motel because it was far cheaper. But when you factor in the price of a motor home or travel trailer, plus the maintenance costs, plus the insurance costs, plus the ever-rising cost to rent a campsite, I'll take staying in a Holiday Inn any day.
