I really like & respect Tom. Humble, unassuming and wise. The man is expert level crafter, expert level in his knowledge of history behind the items he crafts, expert in survival & hunting and expert in life. You never see him curse, you never hear him whine, he is allways optimistic and he has passion for what he does. I dont allways watch mountain men but i do watch it every time i see him in it.

I've seen almost every episode of Mountain Men. I envy these people for their extraordinary way of life. that would be unthinkable here in germany. hunting, trapping at make fire in nature. And Tom, who is 77 years old, still lives in the wild with his wife. I hope he can live happily in nature for many years to come. I would also like to hunt for a living. but everything is very expensive here and there are 1000 senseless laws that forbid living like this. what would i give to be able to live like a mountain men for a year. Even if it can be very hard and exhausting at times, I would do it! So only dreams of such a beautiful life remain.

Ate rodents and berries and KFC.. I once had McDonald's or McDonald's had me.. They caught me early morning at a quarter past 3.. I jumped from the roof and it hurt me bad..
