Situated at the altitude of 4440 metres, the post office in Hikim is said to be the World's Highest Post Office. I visited this Hikkim village in May 2017 during my Spiti trip. Bhai i am Junior engineer in department of posts. This is a rented building. We take such buildings on rent in order to give services to people. As no bank can even think in their dreams to give financial services to people in such places. Post offices are their only financial institution for financial services and communication.

Hi,Nice one,the village like Hikkim or Komic what are their water resource? borwell is not an option for sure ,how do the get water and what do they use for cooking? Gas or woods?
