The Moog DFAM (Drummer From another Mother) is the first addition to the Mother-32 family of synthesizers and presents an expressive hands-on approach to percussive pattern creation. The DFAM features an All Analog sound system, an Analog Sequencer with 8 steps, 3 sound sources (including noise), and a robust filter. Use the patchbay to integrate with other Eurorack modules.

Tip, you don't actually need to remove the side panels at all. Just the top screws on the front panel are required to get the module out for your eurorack mounting pleasure :)

That would also retain the sliding nuts so you can't lose them.

That makes sense... Thanks. I'm going to put them back on!

All my Moog semi modular gear M32, SubH and DFAM are in and out of my modular case depending on need. I only take the front panel off and 'carefully' disconnected the two cables inside leaving the side panels alone and in place. That way I can return the module to the case later easily. Nice to see you doing though and look forward to the DFAM Maths video as that is exactly how I often mount mine right next Maths.

Yeah, other people mentioned leaving the sides on. I'm so glad that was pointed out. Makes it a lot easier not to lose those sliding threads! :)

This is a useful video for me, because my Moog semimodulars are my first foray into Eurorack and I wasn't sure what to expect in terms of putting them into a different case.

Awesome! These (and the MiniBrute 2s) were my first go too. Glad it was helpful. If you do move forward make sure to note some of the other comments - you don't have to take the sides off like I did - just the front.

Nice one. I’ve been thinking about getting a bigger case and putting my DFAM & SubH in there. I’ll look forward to your DFAM/Maths video… Maths was the first Eurorack module I bought and still surprises me every day!

It's been a tough one for me to wrap my head around. I bought the Mordax Data because I felt like I just needed to have a visual... Then it became so much clearer. Very creative module. A lot to unpack....

Popular opinion on modular forums is that doing this is a waste HP and money but I disagree. I suspect those people don't travel much with their synths. I have DFAM and SH racked with other modules and I would find it so inconvenient to have these synths in separate boxes.

I've seen that too. Part of why I was so reluctant to make the jump. For the short time it's been in - it's very nice to have it in there. Although, as I pick up more modules, I imagine I might move it back for the space...
