A Beginner's Guide Overview to Mouse Cursor and Mouse Region Control. They can be very useful methods to stick the cursor to a specific point on the screen (RTS games, hotbars, inventory screens, etc). Demoed in Homeworld: Deserts of Kharak. Are you saying the cursor snap back doesn't work well with mouse region? It seemed to work the same way the cursor "jump to" function worked when i used it. As for this game, i had an ok time with Homeworld:DoK (which i completed with a Steam Controller) but my problem with it was the satellite image mode was so useful i never left that mode through the whole game. Kinda like the detective vision in Batman Arkham Asylum.

I couldn't find an option that snaps it back to where it was previously when using Mouse Region. It scales it down and snaps it but when I turn it off the cursor stays where it gets snapped to. Maybe they changed how it behaves since they added in the Mouse Cursor option.

You turned off "Snap Mouse To Region on Mode Shift"? I tested it just now and it works as intended when you switch that option off.

Heh, I didn't notice that option because of course it's on a different screen. Oh well, might as well close my channel down now, I'm a fraud. :P

But then again, my experience with mouse region boils down to, trying to get it to do something i want, being disappointed in the results, and finder a better solution instead.

I have to say, I appreciate your channel ! Explanations are clear and even if I don't have the use of this yet, it's always useful to know. I already knew this was possible, but never tried. Keep up the good work !

Thanks! I always try to explain what the settings are and do because I personally find the descriptions by Valve to be... kind of obtuse and overly technical.

can I use this controller with a mouse seperate too? So controller for movement and mouse for aiming and firing?

Is it possible to use the left pad for the left monitor and the right pad for the right monitor on a dual monitor desktop?

Hmm. I don't think so. I think the closest you could get would be to use mouse cursor to snap it over on the edge of the primary monitor. I'm almost positive the mapping is limited to your primary monitor but you'll be able to control cursor on both monitors from desktop... if that makes sense. I never game on more than one monitor so I'm not sure how the big picture overlay handles that, I think how Big Picture Overlay handles the monitors is what would allow it or not.

So i've been trying to use the move cursor binding but for some reason it always moves it to the same location on the screen no matter what i do (down and right) i want it to move to just a bit above the center of the screen does anyone have any idea what my problem could be?

Btw some additional info i am trying to bind this control for a game called v rising dont know if that makes any difference but yeah

You do not need the overlay. Put your mouse in the place yoy want and open the settings O.o

On both my PC and Phone I can only watch this video up to 00:20 and then it just stops... Not having issues watching anything else..

You shouldn't HAVE to but it can make it easier if you're having troubles.

Yeah, watch my troubleshooting vids for the steps. Add game to Steam. Make sure Origin overlay is disabled, make sure Origin is completely signed out, launch game from Steam.
